“Cove Point Lodge has been a go-to for my Wife and I for years. I love visiting during any season, but in my opinion winter is especially cozy. The Lake Superior shoreline right outside of the lodge is gorgeous. I recommend walking out to the end of Cove Point for sunrise and/or sunset. Of course, Beaver Bay offers many wonderful outdoor attractions within short driving distance too. The restaurant within the lodge serves delicious food - I highly recommend dinner there. I love spending my evenings in the lobby in front of the large wood burning fireplace with a book in hand, especially during a snow storm. I’ve had some great conversations with other guests in front of the fireplace too. They also have games and books available, making the lobby a fun place to hang out. If you want some privacy, they offer rooms with gas fireplaces and every single room has window views of Lake Superior. You really can’t go wrong with Cove Point Lodge as a getaway destination.”

“I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff I interacted with was lovely, the room was perfect and very clean. I wish I could have taken advantage of the location on the lake with the beach chairs and such, but it was a very short overnight. One star removed because I signed up for complimentary internet access when prompted by the website. I still got charged the $4.95 anyway for the "premium" wifi. I always think this should be part of the room rate because everyone uses internet now. In any event, if you're giving a guest the option to choose to pay for faster internet and they decline, don't charge them for what they probably didn't receive.”

“This hotel is the best hotel in Minnesota for sure and one of the best (if not the best) Hilton property we’ve visited. We are HHonors Diamond members and stay in a lot of Hilton’s all over the country and we’ve never had better service, cleaner rooms and better customer service. If we could give this place 20 stars we would! The executive lounge is phenomenal with amazing breakfast and dinner. The pool area is impeccably clean with a great gym, sauna, steam room and spa. Find a reason to stay here, it’s fantastic!”

“Staff was great, rooms were nice but furnishings could use a little work. Was very bare bones. (Though I am sure they mostly get hordes of bachelor groups who don't care) There were more kitchen supplies such as cups, plates, cooking utensils, silverware and stuff that I completely didn't expect. The cabin we stayed in did have Dish so it was nice to have music on or a movie in the background. They were out of firewood and we had to drive 25 minutes to get firewood. The fire pit was in a very strange location and we only used it once. Their booklet said there was volleyball, basketball, and shuffleboard but we didn't see any of that anywhere. Otherwise I'd have added photos. All in all I would love to come back. I wanted to make sure to add some pictures of the rooms. Since there aren't any here on Google. Lots of fishing pictures, which is out on the lake NOT the resort itself.”

“My daughter and I have been going here for a couple of years now, and the hill is great, with several runs that all intersect at the base. The cost of food went up drastically this year. We ordered 2 burgers and 2 small fries- for $38! When checking in for our season passes, the woman kept refering to my daughter as 'he' even though she was wearing pink and purple, had a purple helmet on- and was wearing eye make up! Each time, I corrected the woman, but she must not have heard me. And to be clear, she is a biological girl, not a boy choosing female pronouns or anything like that. She does not dress, act or look like a boy. Haven't stayed at their resort, so I can't comment on that- but I did overheard one of the snow groomers, and he really is good at his job. Overall it's got a great nostalgic feeling with old school 80s music on the speakers, a warm inviting feeling with outdoor fireplaces. Just bring a snack, and don't be offended if your child is miss-gendered I guess”

“We loved our stay. Upon arrival, we asked if we could upgrade our unit and they had no problem accommodating. Our room was clean, we had a kitchen and a deck. The outdoor and indoor pool were both awesome. This property is very well taken care of. They had a court yard with outdoor yard games and live music at night. Their restaurant on site is also top notch. I’d recommend staying here to anyone!!”

“This was a family vacation (occurs every 3 years). The 3 BR condos are decent, but could use some TLC. Screen sliders are difficult to open and close. Owner’s suite bed is fine, but the other beds are uncomfortable. The cabins need some TLC as well. The toilets needed occasional repair, the tap water is not (doesn’t seem) potable, the porch screens need some repair. Resort owner dogs poop on the grounds and as visitors we either found bags to pick up the piles of poop or placed twigs around the piles so other visitors wouldn’t step in the piles. We’re dog owners and are okay with well behaved (and these dogs definitely fit that description) wandering the property…so don’t get it twisted. The poop comment isn’t about the dogs wandering, but rather the need for the resort owners to regularly walk the property to locate and pick up the piles of poop. Staff are great. We love Leech, but to see us return to Horseshoe Bay vs Trappers, we’ll need to see some necessary TLC.”

“The location is right off 35. Large parking lot. Greeted as we came in and we were able to check in early. Our room was clean, had great lighting. A kitchen with desk/table, living room, and separate bedroom with outlets in lamps, Large TV and closet in bedroom. Beds comfortable. Great bathroom. The coffee maker is single serve. In morning go down for breakfast/coffee. Sorry we did not get to use pool/hot tub. Spent time with friends. Kudos to Teresa for making you feel welcome. She is training a new employee who will follow her lead. Oh the Faribault community is fun to explore.”

I complained was given another room which was better however all the outlets were worn out couldn't even charge my devices completely until I moved the furniture in the room to find outlets much better than the ones your expected to use. Bathrooms don't even have ventilation black mold showing above shower area. Absolutely disgusting place to stay would not recommend at all. Drive 30 something more miles and stay in Grand Marais it's worth the extra gas.”

“It was a long weekend visit for me, however my husband and 12 yo are up for 10 days. Upon my arrival Fri evening, the golf cart parade went thru and was followed by an all ladies "Hey ride" and it was so fun. The cabins look amazing!! And there are cabins for different size groups! The main lodge had a restaurant/bar; indoor pool and hot tub, along with the convenience store. I'm guessing maybe 8-10 rooms on the 2&3rd levels with an elevator. Staff were all very friendly and always busy. It wouldn't surprise me to learn they were short staffed, but every time I saw staff, they waved or had a smile on their face. My kid took part in the kids charter. I think they had boats/pontoons you could rent as well. I'd recommend this place to others without any hesitation. I also don't know the rates, as my husband took care of that.”
