“Absolutely brilliant caravan site. Was due to stay in our touring caravan. However, decided to see about staying in a static instead. Wooda where very helpful and accommodating to this (a week before arriving). The static we stayed in (palm C10) was lovely and perfectly located. With a great sea view. Comfortable static with ample space. Did have a look in the toilet block and the standard was excellent. Onside bar seemed a little pricey however no difference to local area. Bude is close by and a lovely town with great beach.”

“What a fantastic hotel!! Check in was seamless and pleasant. Room, though a little smaller than what I am used to, was charming, had everything I needed, and had been immaculately cleaned. A lovely modern bathroom with a heated floor - wonderful. The restaurant here is a very high standard, with a varied menu, my starter and main course where cooked perfectly. Breakfast is cooked to order and again was high quality. Throughout my stay, all the staff where very professional, friendly and helpful, I will definitely be returning when in the area again. Can't recommend high enough.”

“Great campsite with facilities. Perfect spot to walk out from (many on AllTrails) had a great spot first night, rain came in heavy second day so park warden asked us if we could move to a different pitch so we wouldn’t get isolated if the road flooded (it did) other pitch was equally good. Free electricity and good shower/toilet block with plenty of warm water and kept extremely clean. Recommended spot for a great price too.”

“Berryfields is a well organised caravan site mainly geared up for caravan owners; 80+% are regulars leaving a few electric plots for tourers. Our choice was the field which is pretty flat and hedged, although the crows in them make a racket at dusk and dawn. The washing facilities are neat and tidy but small and distant. We didn’t sample the showers £1 token required) as the owners were away two days and we couldn’t get tokens! Luckily the July weather and the sea was warm so we swam and rinsed off in the freshwater stream. Lovely beach! It’s a great place for groups too”

“The best campsite we've ever been to! The atmosphere is so welcoming and warm, everyone is so nice! The facilities are lovely, we stayed non electric and had no problems. There's a freezer, washing machines, microwave, and kettle ext all supplied by Anchor Barrow, and the barn is full of sockets for your devices! The toilet block was cleaned regularly throughout the day, nice warm water for showers too. While we were there (Thursday to Sunday), they had live music on every night and food in the morning and evening. Saturday was a big BBQ, and honestly, the atmosphere was fantastic. So many happy people! The food was absolutely delicious. We opted to eat here instead of finding anywhere in town! All in all, I was really impressed with the stay. Everyone we chatted to was singing this campsites praises to! You're on to a winner, Anchor Barrow!”

“Brilliant site, just 5 minute walk away from Glenridding village centre and right on the starting path of Helvelyn. Lovely site with amazing views. You have to pay 20p to use the showers but they are hot and clean. We used the electric hook up with our tent and there were no issues it worked perfectly. Reception staff were lovely and helped us out when we realised we’d forgot our matches. We will definitely be back 😊”

Honestly one of the loveliest campsites we've stayed as a family, and we've been all over France as well as England. Bathrooms and washing up areas were so clean spacious and modern, great playground overlooking the sea. Lots of animals to visit. Peaceful little beach just a short walk away. Food on site for those lazy mornings or suppers. Can't wait to come back next year!”

“Just spent 3 nights on this site and I wanted to share my thoughts. in short this site is very well run and maintained. very close to everything you need for short or long stays. Upon arrival you are greeted with by Jo and Mick, the site owner, who are both friendly and willing to help you find your pitch where to find local amenities. the pitch I was give had electric along the edge of the site under a tree so I was quite shaded and peaceful even being close to the main road you don't notice the road noise. I'd like to thank Mick and Jo for a wonderful and welcoming time during my stay and I would like to come back next year.”
