Live entertainment in the bar was great and got everyone in a real Christmas party mood. Our room was Masons (every room is named for a brand of gin )The room was immaculate with every need catered for. Being at the front, we had beautiful views over open countryside. “Really great place to stay and eat! We had several meals while staying in a room upstairs and I'd highly recommend everything we tried (fish, both pies, Sunday roasts). The room was good, had everything we needed and I particularly appreciated having hot chocolate sachets as well and coffee and tea available. Service was lovely and the whole place had great atmosphere and was well located for walks in the area. The breakfast available was also fantastic, such delicious food and a definitely ensured we had enough energy for the day!”

“Rooms were a reasonable size, clean and met our needs. Food was mediocre but fairly priced. That said, our breakfast was delicious. The facilities for the children were great with soft-play an outdoor park, animals, a swimming pool which were all free if staying. The service wasn't that great on the whole.although the older lady on the bar in the evening was lovely. We felt the lady in charge of the soft-play probably doesn't like children or people in general very much and that there were some quite unenthusiastic younger staff about the bar/reception/waiting. However, on the whole, our needs were met and the kids had a fabulous time.”
