“Very much enjoyed my stay here over the New Year's holiday. Beautiful small hotel with personal service, a real luxury experience. Room was comfortable, quiet, and so nicely decorated. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful at all times. Great location, in a nice quiet neighborhood but within easy walking distance of many of the main tourist sites and near several different tube stations-- very convenient for anything you want to do in London. Complimentary coffee/tea in the morning and hot chocolate in the afternoon was a nice extra touch. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to London.”

“Room2 delivered a unique and fun experience compared to other hotels. The concept of "feeling like home" was interesting. The service received was on point, staff are willing to help and the WhatsApp service for requests worked well. The atmosphere of the café was lovely. Absolutely beautiful hot chocolate. Parking was okay. We paid £13 for a reservation there for one night. It should generally be a lower price though. The spaces were tight and limited. In terms of the room, there were plenty of positives but a few negatives. Firstly, the beds were comfortable and the views over the park were lovely. We could see the ships in the distance! The bathroom was clean and the little motivating messages were cute. It's a small thing, but it makes a difference to the feel of the room! The shower had good pressure and good temperature and was easy to use. However, the vent in the bathroom was not working so it got very steamy in there and even in the rest of the room. To the owner, make sure the vents are working as it can make people quite dizzy with the trapped steam! Room facilities included a hair dryer, ironing board, kettle, dishwasher, radio, TV and mini fridge. The main bed was good, no issues with it at all. However, in the loft area I was slightly disappointed. Whilst the actual concept was cool, the mattress had hairs and paint stains all over it. Of course, it wasn't the sheets that had that but it just made it feel awkward to sleep there. There's a good storage area in the loft just for phones, glasses and sockets to use for charging. But it was very dusty, there was a sticky stain in the back on the wall. Not sure what it was. So, just a few little things that need to be considered. Because it is a loft area, it's high up so it can get dusty so to the owner, please ensure it's cleaned thoroughly so it is as comfortable as possible. Otherwise, no problems. The location is good, it was a 12 minute walk to the shopping centre (WestQuay) and the harbour was just there. Overall, I did enjoy my stay and I did feel how the hotel stands out from others. Check out at 2PM is perfect and well thought. Rooms were unique and fun to chill out in. Just make sure to tidy up those little problems so the hotel can reach its full potential. Thanks!”

“Wow! For a 3 star hotel I was very pleasantly surprised especially with their breakfast food! The hotel is located perfectly in Liverpool central walkable to the station and everywhere you need to go! The room was great, but it did get a little cold at night as their heated ventilators weren’t able to keep up with the cold, but the hotel reception were able to resolve this by giving us a heated radiator. The main thing I liked about this hotel is the quality of the food! On my god….it was superb quality! Sausages tasted like sausages, eggs tasted like eggs and they were very accommodating by giving us veggie sausages as we had a vegetarian in the group! The car park is literally next door to the hotel and it only costs £6 per day to park (you just need to give reception your car registration)! Overall very happy with this stay and I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Liverpool! 100% recommend this hotel! 😊”

“Even after turning the heat all the way up, the room was still just as warm as the hallway. Not freezing, but not as warm as I would have liked. The shower needs updating. The glass only covers the first third of the shower so I was trying hard to not get water all over the floor. Complimentary water and the staff are very nice. Breakfast was great. Great location. Can get to anywhere from london bridge station, was an easy transit from airport and to kings cross train”

“In 2023 we enjoyed a couple of short breaks at the Royal. Each time the staff were friendly and welcoming and the service was attentive but not intrusive. The atmosphere is relaxed but not sloppy. Our rooms were clean, light and well serviced. The dining is excellent, with a particularly good breakfast choice, and if you require dairy free food, the kitchen are more than up to the challenge of producing an interesting variety of options. The gardens are well kept, with a quiet terrace if you want to seek it out. I highly recommend this hotel.”

“Downstairs lovely as it has been redecorated recently. Upstairs bedrooms need sorting out. The hotel is in need of a general maintenance person as there were lots of issues with the bedrooms which could of easily been fixed. Our bedroom window didn't shut so making it quite cold & it was December! No bath in the bathroom as requested & the hotel had been booked well in advance. Its a long way up a very winding steep road with no footpath in places from the centre of Tourquay so not suitable to walk into & back from the centre of Tourquay especially in the winter months or for older people. The taxi service in Torquay is not great either! There is no swimming pool in this hotel. Only hydrotherapy pools, a sauna & steam room & it no longer has a gym. It does have a lovely back garden & in the summer/ better months i believe there is a footpath leading down to a local secluded beach. As it is high up & overlooking the sea it does have lovely views & there is a nearby path leading up towards an even better viewpoint.”
