“This is by far the best hotel In Knoxville by far. Rooms are huge, service is great and the location is perfect. However, I have stayed here(because I’m here while writing) 4 times. All different times of the year. When you check in they say, Complimentary drinks at reception at(whatever time) and the bar is open until 2 AM on weekends. All 4 times we have been there. They give last call at10 during the week and 11 On weekends. Friday I thought it was because they were slow but tonight(Saturday) it was packed. They callled last call at 11 while 18 people came in. Along with the 7 people I invited. Why would you tell everyone about hours that you are not planning on keeping. Love your place, but it only takes one Stupid decision to ruin the experience. Either stay open when you say or stop saying it! Why would I want to go to someone else place when I could stay and drink where I paid. Thanks”

“2023 Rented A201 When we opened the door overwhelmed by musty smell.You need to bring some febreeze.After awhile smell disapaated.Spent Christmas with husband and parents.It was clean and view was breathtaking.They have salt but bring pepper.I don't think I would rent again unfortunately due to the noise above us.Thin walls and kept hearing jumping walking and banging all night above us! People next door played Latin music 🎶 so loud wall was booming and party was loud.Another day building alarms want off due to people down from us cooking setting off building twice in complex. Wanted a quiet setting but seemed like it was just a lot of people who rented who were just loud or screaming back and forth.Another evening screaming older child sounded like she was being beaten for a good 30min.We have come Gatlinburg alot and first time renting from DeerRidge.Other than pro's it would have been ok but would not get downstairs room again.Also, they need to change dryer because of fire hazard.I took a picture of it but was not able to add.”

“This is my favorite hotel in the Smokies. The one in Gatlinburg is nicer, but way too expensive. This one is reasonably priced and convenient to all the mountains have to offer. I like the room layout, which is basically a suite. The beds are separated by a restroom, which makes it seem more like two rooms, although they cannot be shut off from each other. Breakfast is the typical HIE fare. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, plenty of outlets, helpful staff, view of the Smokies. What's not to love?”

The key card worked for everything (room, elevator and parking garage. They're are just a couple of things about the room we couldn't work. The phone and lights in the bathroom. “This place looks and is super cool! Check-in was quick and easy. Super neat and clean. Ambience at the bar is good enough to wanting to stay there if you don’t want to go out far. The drinks and the bartenders were awesome. There was people of all age groups (no children or adolescents though) all having a good adult time. Breakfast options are limited but the location is central to many breakfast options around. The room (2 adults, 1 bed) was a bit tight and has little storage for your belongings but you can make it work. They are pet friendly. Overall we really enjoyed staying there!”

“We had the best time of our lives in this cabin. It captured it all. My husband and I eloped here and it was the perfect cabin for our family of 5. The bears payed us a visit almost every morning. Super cool experience and the property manager was very sweet. Make sure to keep your doors locked and hot tub covered. The only thing I could complain about was the dirty floors when we arrived. Seemed like it could have been cleaned better. But having to sweep multiple times while being there I could how it’s easy to track stuff in. We had all the stuff to cook with. My kids were so sad to leave and we would definitely book again.”

“We reserved a room in advance. Drove from out of state for a concert. Location was great as we were able to walk to the venue. However, we were unable to check in via the Hilton app. It stated to stop at the desk for check in. Tried to check in after the show, was told no rooms available. We ended up driving 5 hrs home. Then Hilton billed my credit card $475 for a room I never even had or used. Contacted Hilton customer service and they said my reservation was canceled and because it was less than 24 hrs, it was their policy to charge full price! Never had an issue with Hilton until now. Be warned if you have issue getting checked in, you'll probably be charged full price anyway!”

“I am giving this hotel two stars and I believe that is being generous. My family and I stayed at this hotel when we came back home for my Uncle's funeral. We had 10 rooms reserved. However, upon arrival, we discovered that 8/10 rooms were not cleaned properly. My Cousin had to be switched to another room because her original was disgusting and seemed like it had not even been cleaned. I had to contact one of the staff to change the sheets in my room as it appeared and smelled as if they had not been changed. Also, worst of all was the treatment we received by certain staff. After burying my Uncle, my family and I returned to the hotel to eat and have fellowship after the loss of a loved one. We had already received the "okay" ahead of time to use the lobby for set up. However, during our evening, I noticed the woman who'd worked behind the bar earlier that morning to serve breakfast, taking pictures of my family and I. She then returned to a woman at the front, who I assume was the manager, and began showing her the pictures and appearing annoyed. Myself, my Mother, and my Aunt approached them to question why she had been taking pictures of us and to please delete them. She initially denied this but soon admitted it. We remained respectful to them during this time. However, the woman who had been taking the pictures began shouting at us and so did the woman behind the desk and threatening to have the police called and have us removed from the hotel. She stated that she could not open the bar with us sitting there. To clarify, it was an open bar and only two of my cousins were sitting at the bar. In fact we were all waiting for the bar to open to buy drinks. Clearly that was not going to happen after such behavior. I clearly asked why she could not come over there and ask us to move so that she could open the bar or speak with us like human beings instead of immediately treating us like criminals. This was truly a disheartening encounter. Also to clarify, my family and I are black, and the two women that harassed and berated a grieving family were white women. The woman who took the pictures was a thin white woman with short blonde hair in a bob cut, who appeared to be in her 50s, who served breakfast from behind the bar in the mornings and tended the bar in the evenings. I did not get her name. The other woman, who worked behind the front desk was a shorter white woman with long brown hair and looked to be in her 20's or 30s. By far this was the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel. In fact, it was so bad that it has caused me to write this review, when I usually do not take the time to write reviews. My advice is, if you are a family of color or value clean guest accommodations, AVOID this hotel at all costs.”

“This hotel is an embarrassment to the Staybridge brand. When I say this hotel didn’t live up to expectations I don’t mean just that it wasn’t worth the price..I’ve stayed in $60 budget roadside motels that were better. The entire building is obviously older and has not been maintained. Dimly lit hallways, broken tile flooring, the parking lot smelled of Marijuana and the hallways smelled like someone had tried to get the cigarette smell out and had failed. We went to our room and immediately upon opening the door were hit with a wall of cigarette stench. We immediately went downstairs and asked for a different room. The second room, didn’t smell of cigarette smoke but was still musty. The shower leaked, the sheets for the pullout couch had literal holes in them and the heater sounded like a train. The only reason we stayed is because it was late and everything else was booked up. I can’t comment on breakfast because we got up early and left. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was amazing..”

“Place was purposely pictured for deception. Was supposed to be a cabin in the Mountains but it was 3 blocks off the main drag. The log townhouse was clean but everything in it needed updated. Broken kitchen cabinets,no shower pressure,make sure to bring your kitchen stuff to make dinners. The hot tub lid needs replaced and it's sitting on a second floor deck that I wouldn't trust. The third floor deck is pulling away from the structure. All this with roku tvs that couldn't be watched cause of no login and undefined parking language...almost got into a fight with the neighbor over a spot. 4pm check in and 10am check out cost us 1800.00 that's crazy and won't stay there again.”
