“We did a little local staycation in one of the cabins and had an incredible time. The cabins are : pet friendly! Have a wood stove and they provide the wood and fire starter! Have private hot tubs! And because they are stand alone buildings, you don't share walls/floors/ceilings with anyone so they're blissfully peaceful! They also have well appointed kitchens (if there's anything you're missing just get in touch with the front desk), tons of towels and extra blankets, robes provided, cafe on site with snacks, tons of games and DVDs to borrow from the office, and of course the ocean is literal steps away (with lit access points, garbage receptacles and doggy poo bag stations). 10/10 would go again. Especially in the winter to take advantage of the hot tub and wood stove during our long misty nights.”

“This resort is in a prime location and is amazing for families or groups. The rooms are very spacious and offer a washer and dryer for those days after getting soaked on the mountain. The staff is wonderful and if you have kids they have the best pool with a WATERSLIDE which goes super fast. The kids just run up and down for hours laughing and sliding their little hearts out and then they crash which is nice for parents to have a relaxing evening. They normally have a theatre room but it wasn’t open this time. As a family there is also a bbq which is great for a cooking option. And if you do have kids there is an adult only pool, sauna, hot tub and eucalyptus steam room.”

“So I really want to love this place. If you plan to stay up several days within the cottages, then it's fine. Because there's a pool, there's hot tub, there's mini golf and a lot of other amenities such as a tennis court, volleyball court, a little market and restaurant. The only reason I can't love it is because of the 30 minute drive. It takes from the bottom of the mountain to the cottages. If you plan to go anywhere at all, it takes 30 minutes to get down the mountain in a windy, narrow road, that has goats and deers on it. If you don't plan to drive a lot, then this place will be great. The little marketplace where you order food is pretty amazing, the service is quite great and the food is reasonable on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There's a Taco Tuesday and a wings Wednesday”

“I have been going to this camp ground every year labor day weekend since I can remember. Everything about this place is amazing. The owners and staff are so very accommodating and friendly. You can rent boats to take out on the water. Fresh waffles at the office including any other ingredients you may have forgotten. Playground for the kids. Cabins are phenomenal. Communal washrooms are always clean and have hot water. Can't wait to go up again this year. Thanks Adrian and family for always making my visit special. Update! Just got back from a week up at the cabin (Sep 2023) and we LOVED it. It just never gets old.. I booked 2 yrs in advance, thats how much we enjoyed ourselves. “Myself, father & 3 year old daughter stayed for 5 nights for a wedding from Manitoba. I was so pleasantly surprised. The lobby, halls and rooms are updated from all of the photos I see in other reviews. Bathrooms have sleek countertops, new toilets/sinks, fresh wallpaper/paint and lots of lighting. The rooms are spacious, also newly renovated and in amazing condition. I noticed fresh looking carpet/tile flooring, crisp white lamps, a new TV/fridge/microwave and bright windows. I couldn’t find anything that appeared to be reused from the old style I see in photos. Also, the staff. SO friendly and helpful. I was especially thankful for Sierra. When I told her that we were staying for 5 nights, she told me to let her know if we needed anything at all, whenever. I could easily find her around the hotel if I needed more towels or if the room needed a refresh. She was so prompt and helpful. We liked this hotel for the inside and also the outside! Renting a car for our whole trip was outside of our budget but it was fine because could easily walk 2 parking lots over to a shopping area that has a full Co Op grocery store, a dispensary, pizza, coffee shop and banks. The walk there is easy, well lit and clean. Castle Fun Park was also only a 5 minute walk the other way and we made 3 trips there with my toddler over the stay. She loved that place! Overall, this hotel greatly exceeded my expectations. I wish I had taken more photos. Make sure to check the *recent* photos out on Google to see the new teal colour scheme. “We had an awesome stay here. The resort could use some upgrades and definitely some signs guiding you where to go. Our suite had a pull out couch and the mattress on it was not great. The bedroom was huge and I loved having the kitchen and balcony. The private beach was beyond spectacular and you could walk out on the sand when the tide was out for days. The beach was filled with sand dollars and oysters. The indoor pool was huge and clean. They have a great deck with tables and fire tables set up. Would’ve been great if they were covered where fire tables were so we could have used that when it was raining and to keep warm. Overall I would definitely go back. Our family loved it. It was a great surprise as we have travelled the island quite a bit.”
