“The room was very clean and modern. The bed was so comfy - like sleeping on a soft cloud! I didn't want to get out of bed in the morning. It even had a complimentary white noise machine which is great for getting a good sleep! Every staff member I came across was friendly and cheerful. The continental breakfast was AWESOME! Eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, toast, bagels, muffins, pancakes, hot & fresh cinnamon rolls, coffee, tea, juice, milk, porridge, cold cereals, fruits, and more! The seating area for breakfast is very nice and clean. Located across the street from Costco if you like poutine or a hotdog for dinner within walking distance. My *only* complaint would be the hotel needs to add automatic doors going in and out from inside hotel lobby into parking garage to make entering and leaving easier for those with strollers and luggage or wheelchairs.”

“A fun and funky hotel with lots of little details to surprise and delight. The staff are great and it is so fun to explore the hotel—with its secret rooms, a little dance floor, board games, a sauna in the woods, and hidden hammocks among the trees. And it has terrific customer service. Just after the restaurant closed, I asked if it was possible to get a piece of cake for a birthday surprise. The staff member gave me two pieces of cake for the room, with whip cream, a candle, and he tracked down matches for us. It was so sweet and he went above and beyond. Only downside was the bathroom layout is weird—with no private place for teens to change except in the shower or the very tiny toilet stall.”

“We have stayed there in the past as a family of 5, (three children 12 and under), and we had a good experience overall. We primarily chose this location to the indoor slide. However, this time they told us we needed to book two rooms "due to safety" with maximum of 4 per room. I asked the front desk to check with the manager because they placed an extra mattress on the floor in the past. The manager also said, max 4 per room "due to safety." How is it safer to put a child 12 or under in a room by their self? My wife and I are certainly not splitting rooms! At least they could be honest and say, "we want more money, so you need to book two adjoining rooms, which then have an additional surcharge because they are adjoining."”

“Just spent a very pleasant night at the Rialto! Bed was very comfortable, staff were extremely helpful, location was superb! Regarding previous reviews about the noise: we stayed in 107 & yes there was some street noise but I am a light sleeper & slept like a baby! Would definitely recommend!”

“Great Hospitality I stayed at this location along with my family. I would like to state that the property is extremely well kept and clean. Daily housekeeping and breakfast was provided. The breakfast had a variety of options and was well stocked. I would definitely recommend this place and will return in future. The property has Tesla chargers at the location, so if you renting a Tesla on your trip then you can comfortably charge it.”

“Beds are so comfy! Loved the pillows and duvet Rooms a bit old. I saw a few rooms had newer wallpaper. They should redo all the rooms. It made a huge difference! Service great, helpful staff. Location amazing! Near to the stroll, yet far enough from all the noise. The restaurant is somewhat expensive but so good! And you can totally find something affordable if you’re on a budget but want to treat yourself a little. Definitely one of the best in Whistler.”

“I stayed 1 night..paper thin walls. Could hear EVERYTHING the guys in the room next door were saying. This went on until way after midnight. Despite good earplugs, it was like they were in my room. It is not their fault as they should be permitted to talk without having to be concerned about room next to theirs. I was worried about complaining that night in case of negative reciprocation being a single female. Added to this, 6.30 a.m , construction noise right across the street from large building project which never stopped! On departure, I did voice my complaints to Reception. Was told that I could have asked Reception for earplugs and that guys next to my room were decent guys and could have been told. OK, that may have been the case but, in reality, the real problem is no sound proofing in the walls. I appreciate that there are many old buildings in Nelson but cannot believe that every room in this Hotel is of the same poor sound proof condition. At the very least, I should have been forewarned AS WELL as told about the early start on construction site and at least been offered a discount for this inconvenience until building work has been completed. No discount was offered, despite my complaint which was conveyed in a friendly manner. Will definitely not be staying here again on my next visit to Nelson.”

“This is a great and clean hotel. They have recently joined the holiday Inn brand. As such, there are a few things missing that you normally get at holiday inns. The main issue I have is their meal options. They have a restaurant in the building as opposed to a free breakfast all they offer is a tiny 10% discount at the restaurant. One of the reasons I stay at holiday inn almost exclusively is due to the nice few breakfast buffet. For the price that they charge for your stay, the last they could do is offer a little more. Also, I know they are going through a remodel, but one thing is that there is a lack of signage as to where certain things are located, such as the gym. There is a gym, but it is small and very lackluster with not a lot of newer equipment. Which is something that I appreciate at other holiday inns”

“The rooms are fine if you really need a place to stay and honestly with how expensive everything, not a terrible choice. However it is outdated and does feel clean or look clean. Carpets are old, shower head is stained, lights flicker, outlets looked or broken. Thrown off by excessive cameras and protective dividers. The night time staff did not care for us at all, she was not welcoming which is fine. But because booking was my name and my husband wanted to use his card, she took a copy of his ID without any notice and didn't acknowledge. Barked at us to leave the credit card in. It was only the very nice morning lady who explained why and gave us the copy back. However I don't like the taking of private information without a word. Breakfast was fine. Not great but at least they had it and coffee was fine. I would just pay to stay somewhere nicer next time.”

“Fairly clean : a few hair in the bathroom, but nowadays it's to be expected.. housekeeping is not what it use to be. Bed sheet were clean and felt like a higher thread count (it'd been a while I didn't see that). I had a king bed suite and it was a good deal compared to other hotels. Being Dawson Creek, I empty the car to be safe. Would stay again.”
