“Quaint, historic hotel in a quiet neighborhood, at walking distance from the legislature building, fisherman's wharf etc. Rooms have been maintained in old style, so there's old fashioned heating pipes running through the room but no thermostat. No elevator either for the 3 floor building. Plumbing is modern though but I wonder why they could not supply a kettle or coffee machine in the room. The pub was surprisingly full of people when we visited in the evening for a drink.”

The staff were absolutely amazing to work with to coordinate the reservation and the food selections for the entire weekend. It is a beautiful hotel and a great location. “This hotel is a gem. I stayed here a couple of years ago, and their service post-pandemic was great. Then I came back. Surprises included the availability restaurants, coffee, and live music within a 10-minute walking distance. There is immediate access to bike paths to take you around town. The "great room" is where breakfast is served nowadays. Same excellent quality and cozy atmosphere. If you don't need to be in central Victoria, then don't fight the crowds and have a great experience here.”

“The location is in PG downtown and there are some homeless people nearby. The interior design is new updated and seems warm. But I don’t like the bed corner because my leg was hit badly. Another thing to mention is that you have to park your vehicle in another building, which takes some extra time and walking distance.”

“Nice decor, clean, modern. A pleasant surprise. Beautiful loby. We would absolutely stay again. Our only disappointment was the breakfast. They have a video playing at the front desk that shows the waffle makers but at breakfast we were told that they no longer have it available because it is too messy. It was a big disappointment for the kids. Breakfast was just basic reheated food or cereal.”

“Gorgeous spot right on the water, and a six minute walk from the ferry. We went with our children and we had a lovely time swimming on the sandy beach at high tide, and exploring the vibrant sea life—starfish and crabs—at low tide. The restaurent for dinner was perfect. Just sensational! Definitely try the local BC and Vancouver island wines. We loved our ocean villa with a wood burning fireplace, grill, and bath tub on the balcony overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed the smart car rental and toured the island, including the magnificent retread cove. We enjoyed watching the ferries come and go from our balcony at night, and the changing of the tides by the hour. The management was friendly and hospitable, and we loved the Japanese gardens and koi pond! We loved every moment of this peaceful oasis and cannot wait to come back!”
