“I decided to go ahead with my wedding at The Princess & The Pea Hotel and wow, I can’t say enough how glad I am that I did. I knew the minute I met with Angela that this was the place to have my most perfect wedding day. The hotel is charming and has an overall fairytale feel and I truly felt like an absolute princess on my special day. The setting was beautiful and Angela and the whole team took such amazing care of me, our guests and made it such a breeze. The rooms are stunning and beautiful. The breakfast was a delight. I would recommend anyone considering to have a wedding here or staying here 100% to do it. You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much to Angela and everyone for making our day so perfect and beautiful.☺️❤️”

“Pretty views. Hotel rooms are clean and have lots of room. We had a kitchen in ours. We were there about 5 years ago and not a lot has changed. It depends what you are looking for, if you like a lake and the activities it brings then it's a great location.”

Silver Sage Winery

“Wow wow wow!!! This is without a doubt the best winery I have ever been to in my life. First of all the tastings were free (they know what they have and you WILL want to buy something). Secondly they have 12 wines for you to try, thirdly they are ALL AMAZING! Which I have never ever experienced and I have been to at least 50 wineries. Fourthly Elana was hilarious and knowledgeable. Fifthly the location was beautiful.”

“We loved our visit to Cox Bay Beach Resort. Amazing weather, lots to do, and friendly hotel staff made our stay memorable. Our dog loved the beach and had a great time with other hounds. The Surf Club, next door, is a hassle free places to grab boards, suits, etc. and having a beer in their hot tub après surf was nice.”

“Everything about this property is luxury done properly. It is stunning both inside and out. The grounds are so well maintained, private and memorizing. I'm not sure if it's better at night or the day. It's a quick 3 min drive to town, which is so charming and activities for all ages. We checkout your the inflatable water park with the kids and headed back. Our favorite time was walking down to the water after our dinner. Taking a dip in the glacier fed lake and then enjoying the sauna or have a long hot soaker tub. Equally the best was having a fresh brewed cup of coffee on the patio and just taking in all the fresh air, and beautiful scenery. Kitchens are fully equipped, linens are high quality and lots of them. My 11 and 14 worlds favorite part was the Murphy bed and water fountain!! It's all these little touches that are so neat about this place. The staff was beyond accommodating in everyday. From starting the trip to checking out. Easy and stress free. We can't wait to go back!!”

Rockwater Secret Cove Resort

“We honeymooned here and returned for our anniversary, it was so disappointing. For the price we paid to stay in the Kittyhawk suite you’d think there would be some general maintenance. Instead, duct tape holding the roof, packing tape covering the tub with what looked like mold or rust (?), dilapidated boards on the doors and deck. Also, slightly petty but for this “premium” suite at 600+ a night I found it humorous there was better patio furniture featured at other tents as we walked by. And I appreciate it is a tent so there will be spiders, which we did find and move outside, but the cobwebs in the corners and around the lights would have been easy to dust off quickly during a cleaning. Food was good in the restaurant, and staff was pleasant.”

Coast Oliver Hotel

“%100 don't recommend this hotel. The breakfast was sub par and the staff was very rude about service and replenishment of food and coffee. They tried to close early when there were several hockey teams staying there. The staff threatened guests and children with fines and shut down areas where people could congregate. We were provided with a bath mat for a towel and the bathroom smelled like urine and mould. The staff forced us to rent an additional room to hang out in. Overall this hotel needs some customer service training for it's employees, and perhaps hire people that actual want to go to work. There was one really nice maintenance guy. Room for improvement hopefully.”

Anchor Inn & Suites

“We just had an amazing mini vacay at The Anchor Inn! Our room was sparkling clean and the bed was so comfortable! The guest service agent at the front desk was very welcoming and efficient at checking us in. We had an incredible dinner at The Waterfront Restaurant. The view was also spectacular! We will definitely be returning next time we need a little getaway!”

Port Hardy Rv Resort & Log Cabins

“We visited San Josef Bay in early October and this was the closest dog-friendly place we could find in Port Hardy. The cabins are small but clean and well equiped. A few more hooks for hanging items and a couple more electrical outlets for charging devices would have been helpful. The service was outstanding and the location is perfect; close to town but not too close. Easy access on and off the highway. There's an estuary close by where we walked the dog each morning - beautiful.”

Powell River Town Centre Hotel
3.9
( 8 reviews ) $$

4660 Joyce Ave, Powell River, BC V8A 3B6, Canada

“The hotel's website makes you think this will be a pretty nice place to stay, when in fact it is kind of a dump. The photos on the website look pretty good, but it seems that only some units have been renovated. We booked a standard double room, and it looked nothing like the photo in our email confirmation or the website. It looked like we had travelled back in time to 1987. Even though the website claims a hair dryer is provided, there wasn't one, and when we called the front desk, they told us that they don't provide hair dryers. What? Really? This is the first hotel I've ever stayed at that didn't provide a hair dryer. To top it off, the pillows were very lumpy, the mini fridge was very loud and the carpet felt a bit musty. Needless to say, I will be staying elsewhere next time I'm in Powell River.”

“I booked a privately owned room through AirBnB. The building presents well but quickly showed it’s age with sound travelling through the units, duct grills hanging precariously from the ceiling overhead and the elevators that are abused. When checking in at the front desk I registered my vehicle with them. At no time was I told I had to pay an additional fee for the stay. The next morning I come back to a seventy dollar ticket when parked in the Guest Parking. The morning staff did apologize for the failure to communicate but did make an effort to rectify the concern. The strata managers that run this building remotely from New Westminster should do a walk through.”

“I stayed at the Met for a week, and I really enjoyed my time there. Rooms are really nice, the bed was also very comfortable. There's also a parkade across the street (they provide you with a parking voucher) as well as the Columbia sky train station being a 50 metre walk away as well as a subway and circle k being right there too. The only thing I disliked about my stay was the amount of outside noise, but that's still not a big deal since that's what you'd expect for being in a busy part of town. for the price, it's a great hotel. Would definitely recommend”

Airport Inn-port Hardy

4030 Byng Rd, Port Hardy, BC V0N 2P0, Canada

“I stayed here with a few friends; we had a total of three rooms. My roommate and I were comfortable, and I heard no complaints from anyone else. Front desk service was friendly and helpful, but a little slow. This hotel uses regular metal keys and they seemed to have some trouble locating the right ones. The front desk staff double as clerks for the co-located liquor store, so they are busier than one might expect. But good-natured throughout, so no matter. Very pleasant dining room, but only open for breakfast at this time. Breakfast was welcome, with good coffee, but the food choices were limited. Price was right though. An outstanding value and you won't find a manager and staff anywhere who will do more to make your stay comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the airport, but a little drive from Port Hardy harbor and downtown.”

Summerland Motel
3.9
( 8 reviews )

2107 Tait St, Summerland, BC V0H 1Z4, Canada

“The room is way over priced for it being not only dirty when we arrived. But the hood fan above the stove doesn’t suck air, the bathroom fan doesn’t work properly. Just makes excessive noise. The bedroom fan made so much noise it woke my son up all night, all for a grand total of 1624 a month. Also was told I was not allowed to use the garbage bins that are on site despite the hotel manager saying to use them. Should have just stayed at the Beachside Motel in Penticton, would never recommend to someone”

“RUN FAST, RUN FAR!…this place is a trap. I have tried plenty of places around the world and this is just a nightmare. I made the error to not see the reviews before because we were tired and just wanted to sleep. Don’t do the same. The lady will just tell You that she accepts only cash or e-transfer and won’t show you the room before paying; of course I’ve never seen the receipt for the money I gave her. And You won’t see your money back if the room is a disaster, like the one we had. Sheets have not been changed for a while, everything is just dirty like no one has ever gone there to clean. We didn’t even had the keys of the room!!!!…she just asked us 50$ deposit to have them…and since I knew I was never gonna see those money again I refused. I asked for the parking, and she said that it was 20$ for the night, or for a good review on google she would just give it to us for free. I did the review, parked there overnight, and then cancelled it immediately! They will answer to this review saying that nothing of this is true but, please, follow the reviews and NEVER, EVER give money to these people. They have been lucky that I didn’t call the police ‘cause We were too tired. If You’re in Surrey and need a place to sleep overnight…just pay 50 or 100$ dollars more and go to a nice hotel. Don’t do the same error we did!”
