“Great service, very friendly. This seemed like a very new hotel. They made a last minute reservation go very smoothly. They welcomed my German Shepard with open arms and didn't charge a huge deposit or fee ($25 for the night). They also gave us a little treat bag and poop bags. The pet poop area was in close vicinity. There's a Tim's and a pub with great burgers right there too. For being on the Trans-Canada highway it was nice and quiet. We grabbed a couple muffins from the breakfast area so I can't give an honest review about it, but it's included with your stay. Everything was very clean. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks again to the awesome staff. We stayed one night on Dec 3rd 2023.”

“We were in Merritt for two days of meetings and stayed at the Best Western. The hotel is relatively new, clean, modern, and spacious with nice extras like the sink in the 'kitchen' area of our room (microwave, coffee maker, fridge) which we found very handy. The breakfast had a good assortment of offerings and what impressed me most was the dedication of all the staff I encountered.”

“I spent the night here travelling from Vancouver to Calgary and it was an amazing!!! The front desk staff were super friendly! The room was really really nice! I love the nice touch of the two bottles of wine in the room (I don’t drink, but I was told that they were both locally made <3 and they are an additional cost, perfect for gifts). The breakfast was to die for. The check out process was super quick and easy and the person at the front desk was super friendly. I didn’t realize until I got back to Calgary that I left my headphones in the room. I called the next day and they were located. They were able to ship them back to me at an additional cost for priority shipping. Thank you so much!!! I am staying here again whenever I drive through and I’m telling all of my friends and family members that they gotta stay here too!”

“Everytime I saw a staff member they were cleaning something or helping someone, very good happy inviting staff, how ever the rooms are not up to the rivals. Bed was bad, pillows were worse, bedding was extremely static, shocking us every time we moved. It’s 2024 and they still had a bar of soap for washing your hands. But on the plus best free hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. Clean and fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, waffles. good variety. Nice clean spa with good hot tub and large sauna, however the spa shower floor and walls could use a good cleaning. Hotel is a 4/5 but the beds are a 1 and the beds are the hotel so it’s a 3 from me.”

“This hotel is a gem. I stayed here a couple of years ago, and their service post-pandemic was great. Then I came back. Surprises included the availability restaurants, coffee, and live music within a 10-minute walking distance. There is immediate access to bike paths to take you around town. The "great room" is where breakfast is served nowadays. Same excellent quality and cozy atmosphere. If you don't need to be in central Victoria, then don't fight the crowds and have a great experience here.”

Another thing to mention is that you have to park your vehicle in another building, which takes some extra time and walking distance.”

“The hotel is alright, for the amount you pay per night however you would think that you would get breakfast included. The time the restaurant opened on the weekend was inconvenient due to us being in town for a hockey tournament(8am). Rooms were nice, the staff was really great, a major downfall is the pool area it was extremely cold inside which made it not as enjoyable as it could have been. The price per night is high for what you get. I would probably stay again, but it wouldn't be my first choice.”

This hotel definitely has mold (you can smell it by end of hall in first floor), they try to cover the smell with perfume… which was not lovely Pretty sensitive to mold so didn’t sleep well. I’d stay somewhere else if you are sensitive! It’s also 20 dollars per pet, which was not included in the online booking I did… even though I booked a pet friendly room. Breakfast was good, room was generally clean, staff were nice.”
