“Top Authentic Indian restaurant We travel all the way from Edinburgh to enjoy Indian food at Handi. We love their authentic and traditional cooking, kids really enjoyed their food and desserts. I personally recommend trying murgh malai chicken, the best. Naan and gravy are really good and freshly prepared. Their beer and wine selection was very good. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Start with the pistachio and feta dip with corn bread and the haddock souffle, both great appetisers for what's to come. The Salt and Chilli Haggis starter is a mouth watering blend of East & West. 😋 The Chef Speciality of XO King Prawn and fine green beans was fantastic too. The decor is pleasant and the seats nice and comfortable. Service is efficient but more importantly lovely and friendly. Definitely recommended.”

Overall bill 26.5£ which for a pub lunch type / burger I thgt was expensive. However as just exploring Scotland will get an ideas of how things are. Visit if in the way”

“The cocktails were nice but had about 3 mouthfuls of liquid in them. They tasted like they were just full of juice and ice, no alcohol. Majority of the staff were extremely rude and clearly couldn’t be bothered. A few times they’d rather stand and flirt with each other while holding our already made drinks. The place smells really weird too. I wouldn’t have paid the service charge if I’d had realised it had been added on.”

“Was a little while ago I came here with the better half but I have been meaning to leave a review. We had some of the best food we have ever had right here at Michael’s. Starter, main and desert were all fantastic. Even the bread and homemade butter was perfect. The service and atmosphere were also great and this is a place I highly recommend to people when they travel up to Edinburgh. Scallops and black pudding to start, beef Wellington main and a blood orange cheese cake. I’ve also added photos of the other half’s food however I am unsure what her dishes she had. All in all fantastic food, reasonably priced, would recommend”
