“Nice soup, good salad, very nice chips, tasty 'Christmas in a mug', very delicious, small slice of cherry something cheesecake. Others seem to really enjoy their burgers, another had haggis meal which looked to me like a child's portion, but may have made up in taste. Lots of green, which I like, otherwise would suggest three stars for food. Not too crowded this time and service error apologised for.”

“Looks attractive from outside and seating inside nice.Now for the food...had chicken rigatoni ordered and seemed to take ages to arrive(was quiet not even half full). The pasta over cooked chicken slithers I could have put all the chicken on a soup spoon and the sauce very runny thin etc. Would I pay over £15 for that dish no way but insult to injury got charged £3 for a glass of tap water to swallow my pills.. Would I return no way first and last experience so it was a shame.”

“Such an oasis in Portree! After walking to 7 restaurants who were either closed, short staffed or had menus that were 🫤 we found this. Firstly it was warm, romantic and has great ambience and music. We had the muscles, scallops to start which were delectable. The mains were the mushroom and artichoke risotto and the pheasant dish just gorgeous. We shared a side of fries and fondant and ice cream. All matched our day of exploration. Just a beautiful nourishing offering. Will be back!”

My dining partner’s millionaire dessert tart was to die for and the service from our waitress was second to none. Overall bill 26.5£ which for a pub lunch type / burger I thgt was expensive. However as just exploring Scotland will get an ideas of how things are. Visit if in the way”

“Excellent brunch venue, that was worth waiting 30 minutes for. Busy for a good reason, the food is excellent, the staff relaxed but efficient and give thoughtful recommendations. Music was perfect for a lazy Sunday. Coffee good, croque madame excellent and cinnamon brioche soldiers with maple syrup as indulgent as it should be! Menu had plenty more things I wanted to try, next West End Glasgow visit we will likely be back”

“Went here for our work Christmas night out and the service was incredible. There was 15 of us and they made sure everything went perfectly. One person wasn't a fan of their meal (nothing wrong just not to their taste) and the server offered a replacement and when she said no offered her something else in the house. The male server we had (sorry didn't catch his name) was incredible making sure we were all looked after and drinks kept coming. We will definitely be back and will go again with family as the environment was amazing!”

Staff were standing chatting at the bar and ignored us while we were trying to indicate that we needed something else. Ordered desert along with another drink and the drink never came. Staff need to be a bit more focussed on tables rather than their plans for the weekend, disappointing.”

However, I was disappointed the portion size isn't big enough for a brunch, and certainly not for the price. If the food didn't take as long to come out and wasn't overpriced, I would've ordered another.”
