“Stayed at Eglinton Arms on business, a great little hotel with a lovely country feel. Rooms are very comfortable with everything you'd expect and with a nice bathroom. Staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is worth a review on its own, the food was excellent and good value. I was desperate to try the home made scotch egg. Clearly must be a popular dish as it had sold out. Would definitely come back to the Ellington Arms.”

“Came up with the Lochs and Glens folk and it was lovely. Staff are friendly and super accommodating. Food is wonderful (set menus but plenty of choice and staff will alter things upon request), even though it did look a bit clinical on the plates due to being mass catered for us, it definitely delivered in taste. In the evenings the fireplaces in the main entryway are lit and it's wonderful. The overall vibe of the building is super cozy, would love to come up for Christmas one year. The views from the hotel are stunning, especially in the morning with all the mist and fog along the loch ☺️”

“I stay at this hotel every time I am visiting family in Glasgow. I happened upon it by mistake, but what a great mistake. The staff are polite, friendly and always helpful. The rooms are brilliant, the beds sooo comfortable and the bathroom spotless. The food at breakfast is fine (apart from the orange juice) I would always choose to stay here because of the comfort, convenience and cleanliness. The prices are always reasonable too.”

“The hotel is a bit older, but comfortable enough. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. Is it a little dated? - Yes, but you're also on an island that is harder to get to and probably gets less visitors than the mainland. The hotel is reasonable for a few nights. As long as its clean and the plumbing works, I call it a win, which this was. The shower worked fine, the bath products smelled heavenly, and the heated towel rack was great once I could figure out how to get it working. We only had a view of the parking lot and not the castle, but it was fine. The staff were all welcoming and the breakfast had good options. I would return to the hotel if I were on the island again.”
