The room was clean and fresh and the bed was very comfy and compared to other hotels in the center you actually managed to sleep as the noise was not as bad. The shower and bathroom was immaculate and the shower was fab in the morning. Breakfast was very good quality and although very busy the staff were very good at replenishing breakfast items running low .The location is excellent not too far to walk to walk to city center. There is nothing not to like about this hotel.”

“My daughter and I went for a Mountains and Mistletoe holiday in December. As I am disabled I requested a walk-in shower which are pretty much standard these days however, on arrival we found we had been allocated a dingy room on first floor with no walk in shower. There was mould literally half way up the bathroom tiles, more mould around the window and the skirting boards had quite clearly not seen a duster in months. I physically cannot climb over a bath to get showered ergo, I can't use the bath so I was far from pleased. I complained to the person in charge at reception who had nothing more to say than they don't have any spare rooms so I cannot move. This meant I could only wash in the basin while I was there, very difficult and even the soap they provided (I always take my own) had been used previously. I was not the only disabled person in this situation but the manager told me that walk in showers were allocated according to when you booked, in other words, first come, first served. This was a lie because I later found out from another lady that she booked her holiday in October and had a walk in shower but I had booked in July, so why lie to me? I was told they had tried to ring me two weeks before my holiday to ask if I still wanted to take the room but if they did, which I don't believe, they were phoning a mobile I hadn't used for nearly three years. Given that you have to enter all your details when booking, this proved to be another lie. On the plus side, the food was good but what has made up my mind never to use Lochs and Glens again is, first the room, then the lies. My question is, why did I have to pay the same price for a dirty, cheap B&B type room as those who had spacious, clean rooms with a walk in shower? I wrote to the top boss three weeks ago and to date have not even received an acknowledgement. Be aware that this could happen to you if you book at Loch Tummel.”

Food is wonderful (set menus but plenty of choice and staff will alter things upon request), even though it did look a bit clinical on the plates due to being mass catered for us, it definitely delivered in taste. In the evenings the fireplaces in the main entryway are lit and it's wonderful. The overall vibe of the building is super cozy, would love to come up for Christmas one year. The views from the hotel are stunning, especially in the morning with all the mist and fog along the loch ☺️”

“We stayed for four nights and from start to finish it was the perfect experience. Incredibly central, we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Edinburgh. Check in was brilliant, we were checked in by Ada who was lovely and friendly and gave us a detailed description of things to do in the area. Our bags were brought to our room by another staff member who gave us recommendations for clubs in the area and again was very helpful! We were able to contact reception via a messaging service and a staff member called Nick came up to our room within 5 minutes to help us get Netflix on the TV, he was great and we really appreciated this! Our room was absolutely perfect, we received a free upgrade, and couldn't be happier with our room. It was spotlessly clean and amazing value for what we had paid. Overall a 10/10 experience and we would definitely return if visiting Edinburgh again.”

“We only stayed at the Corran Bunkhouse because a storm changed our plans and there was no ferry across to Ardgour. However, we couldn’t have been any luckier! “It is a great location and they have good food. The staff were excellent and the room had all the required facilities for making a tea or coffee. As the bar was very busy, no table available, they delivered my food order to my room. The bathroom, however, required a wee bit of DIY. The shower was leaking, sink chipped, and the toilet seat requires to be tightened / fixed. The cooked breakfast was nice, and there was a choice options for a continental style breakfast. Nice having breakfast in front of the fire. Cooked breakfast starts at 9.30am so if you are an early riser, you may miss out. It is also an additional £10.”
