Found him to be kind and very helpful, maybe the ones complaining either don't know or understand the guidelines the campsite has to work around? We didn't at first and were quite rightly asked to check guests in at reception, it was just something we never knew about. Always been treated, and greeted very warmly by all the staff, who in my opinion due a first class job on this beautiful well kept site!”

“Just back from a lovely break at Whitecairn for New Year. The park is easy to get to, well kept and quiet. We stayed in one of the 3 bed hot tub lodges which was fabulous, really spacious and had everything we needed. Special shout out to Adrian the warden, he was super helpful and showed us how all the appliances and hot tub worked when we arrived, recommended some local places to go, then also gave us a late curfew for Hogmanay! Would definitely recommend.”

“This is a beautiful park. We stayed in Lodge 1 and my daughter in Lodge 6. It's amazing. So big, spacious, clean and very quiet. There is a little park and duck pond on the grounds which my granddaughter made good use of. There were also a few rabbits running around out the back of the lodges. Very cute. Hot tubs are always a great addition so recommend you add on the extra towel pack when booking. Definitely recommend and will be back x”

“I have stayed at this hostel multiple times from last year, always in the female dorms. It is a lovely hostel with a great view, well-equipped kitchen and good facilities. Location is decent, close to town and train station. Be aware there's a small climb up to the hostel on the road, a bit of work if you're carrying luggage. The low rating is because of the staff. There was a lovely receptionist last year who was friendly and helpful, but they have replaced her with a new man. He asked me to wait until he had checked someone else in, but then proceeded to ignore me even after the other lady had checked-in. I spent too much time waiting, not exactly the pleasant welcome you need after a 15-mile walk when you're desperate for a bed and shower. He was extremely friendly with certain female guests while being standoffish to others. All of that I could tolerate, I don't expect 5 star customer service at a hostel. However, this same staff member, along with another male member of staff, were extremely loud on the ground floor next to the female dorm during quiet hours, so I kept getting woken up by their noise. 1/5 for staff that won't follow the hostel's own noise policy.”
