“We stayed for four nights and from start to finish it was the perfect experience. Incredibly central, we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Edinburgh. Check in was brilliant, we were checked in by Ada who was lovely and friendly and gave us a detailed description of things to do in the area. Our bags were brought to our room by another staff member who gave us recommendations for clubs in the area and again was very helpful! We were able to contact reception via a messaging service and a staff member called Nick came up to our room within 5 minutes to help us get Netflix on the TV, he was great and we really appreciated this! Our room was absolutely perfect, we received a free upgrade, and couldn't be happier with our room. It was spotlessly clean and amazing value for what we had paid. Overall a 10/10 experience and we would definitely return if visiting Edinburgh again.”

“Had a wonderful stay at the Clayton, we had a beautiful room with a double and single room overlooking the Clyde. The rooms are very generous in size with all amenities provided, lovely coffee and biscuits included. Shower was good, a good range of channels. Fabulous location. Very efficient with self check in and out options sent to phone. We had a couple of drinks in the bar and although a little overpriced we enjoyed the ambience and decor of this area. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel so couldn't comment on this but we were very happy with our stay and would recommend and stay here again.”

“Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and couldn't find any fault with the hotel. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much for them. Got to give Kerry a special mention as she went over and above to help us out. Breakfast was good and didn't take long once ordered. Not much in the locality but there is a regular bus service very close by to take you into the city in about 20 minutes. I would definitely stay there again without hesitation. “Great place to stay, our room was roomy and comfortable. It was very quiet at night so I had a lovely sleep. (We had a rear room) Nice food to go with the room and very friendly staff. Easy access to the city centre via bus, which are very frequent. Murrayfield stadium is across the way, so may be a bit busy at times. All in all a pleasant stay for a few nights.”

“This was an incredible positive experience. We were looking for a stop over place to spend the night and to break a long journey. We got a place we would gladly have spent a week! First, we were informed of the parking facilities prior to our arrival which was so much appreciated!! The location - right on the amazing Ayr esplanade and incredible beach and views. The hotel - spotless and well maintained. It may not be even toy build but the rooms were very comfortable and with good service. The best however were each and every member of staff - genuinely happy to be there themselves! And it showed - attentive friendly and welcoming. I have to mention Lindsay who was in charge of the restaurant and bar. Attentive and managing a very competent team. The food was excellent both in presentation and price. And to top it off dog friendly - so much so they treated our dog like a friend. We intent to be back and often! Well done - for us it exceeded all expectations”

“I have been staying at this hotel on and off for business over the past 3 years. I have watched the hotel develop over this time and can say that its my go-to whenever I'm visiting Aberdeen. The front desk service is always good, and you are greeted with a smile and, in my case a welcome back. The restaurant has went through a good upgrade and now has a more up market feel and the food is in line with a nice bistro rather than a generic hotel. Don't get me wrong I have had a few issues over years but they were always resolved swiftly. All in all I would recommend this hotel.”
