“Literally the best cajun fries in Glasgow. Veggie & vegan selections are extensive and they really nail the messy burger without the meat. To my knowledge, the meat equivalents are equally stunning but I haven’t personally tried them. The mac and cheese is a must. The bbq dipping sauce is gorgeously sweet and smoky. And the slaw is just a cherry on top. Perfect for a hangover meal, a post marathon feast or a lovely lil date night. Cannot fault it at all.”

Foundry 39 serve food until 22:00. The food we had was nice and tasty but the choices were a little limited for someone who needs gluten free. The cocktails we had were nice. Staff were friendly and helpful.”

The food is stunning, the chicken was succulent with a crispy skin! The margarita was spicy and the fries are a revelation. The starters were top notch too. “I came to this resturant whilst travelling with my girlfriend. Long story short, I was please with my dining experience but can not say it was immaculately perfect. Prior to arrival, we had walked through Helensburgh and were struck by the front of the building, the signage was noticeable but it was not too gaudy as to put off the appearance of cheapness. We decided that we wanted the seafood platter as we had a hankering for shellfish. Advice on the menu is to call before you plan to visit to check availability. Staff informed us that we were in luck! Upon arrival, staff were happy to see us, and discussed the meal with us whilst leading us to our table. The presentation was as would be expected although we did have to request alternative cutlery as we were given steak knives to begin. We ordered one (moderately priced) glass of wine each and water for the table. The kitchen is situated in the centre of of the resturant, so it was great pre-meal entertainment to watch the food being prepared. before receiving a five minute warning that starters were on the way out. The meal itself was brilliant, and contained a whole lobster, oysters, scallops, languoustines, two portions of fries and garlic foccacia. All excellently and freshly caught/prepared, and at this point we were also provided with additional cutlery to support our shellfish dining experience. A personal highlight was seeing the finished pile of shells after we had finish. It's worth noting that it took two of us several hours to work through the meal, and of course we left no meat spare. One complaint would be that the salad provided looked and tasted like kebab shop doner salad. This did put a downer on the experience and has cost the meal five stars. We did not opt for desert as the meal left us stuffed. This was the last place we expected to find a quality establishment such as this, and some of the other clientele clearly had a drinks focus during their visit. As we had already opted for a pricey meal, we did not want to empty the bank on drinks but with the options at the bar, you certainly could if you wanted to. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Loch Lomond area and can drive for 20 minutes or so. Service - 9/10 Food - 9/10 Price - 7/10 Atmosphere - 8/10 Overall score: 33/40”

“Super few hours at saint judes, we stopped for a afternoon tea with scones, sandwiches and pastry desserts, the food was absolutely amazing there. We also had a teapot full of cocktail which again was superb. Afterwards we bought another cocktail each to try, I had a haribo strawb cocktail and the other half she had a haribo tangfastics cocktail. All was great! The staff were lovely and was asking how everything was. The only bad thing I would say is we waited in the lobby as we saw a little table there like what you would see in a restaurant where you would be greeted and told where you need to go - but that didn’t happen even after 10 minutes so we just walked in. The bar itself was a bit dark and quite loud with music, I really didn’t mind that as their taste in music was exceptional but I couldn’t really hear what my girlfriend was saying a lot of the time. Also their was no food menus nearby so I couldn’t tell what the food prices were! The food that was being brought out looked absolutely banging, guess I’ll have to look online. Majority of the staff were extremely rude and clearly couldn’t be bothered. A few times they’d rather stand and flirt with each other while holding our already made drinks. “It’s a not very friendly ‘dog friendly’ cafe; having arrived with my small dog I was told to sit in an isolated corner away from other diners so as not to annoy them. £18.50 for a poor salad and plastic bottle of mineral water (which Tesco sells £2 for a pack of 8 bottles). I wasn’t offered salt a pepper. I was very disappointed with the supervisor’s attitude, the food and considered it very expensive given the poor quality.
