“Literally the best cajun fries in Glasgow. Veggie & vegan selections are extensive and they really nail the messy burger without the meat. To my knowledge, the meat equivalents are equally stunning but I haven’t personally tried them. The mac and cheese is a must. The bbq dipping sauce is gorgeously sweet and smoky. And the slaw is just a cherry on top. Perfect for a hangover meal, a post marathon feast or a lovely lil date night. Cannot fault it at all.”

“This was a last minute late night stop for us, trying to find somewhere to eat in at around 21:30-21:45 - most places we found finished serving at 21:00 so our options were limited. Foundry 39 serve food until 22:00. The food we had was nice and tasty but the choices were a little limited for someone who needs gluten free. The cocktails we had were nice. Staff were friendly and helpful.”

“The staff are really nice and helpful ! Dishes are served quickly . The mojito is made with pineapple and ginger, topped with lemonade. All the noodles and rices dishes are so flavourful and juicy! But the stone rice can be hotter and the bottom should be better with crispy based. The fries chicken is so crispy and not feeling too stuff or oily!light butter style, tender meat . The cheese kimchi fries is the only thing I would complain that the cheese was not melted and the fries are not warm enough . But it is still a nice meal . Will be back !”

“My friend and I arrived at The Rocketeer around 4:45PM. We were seated right away and the kind server took our order very quickly. The windows surrounding the whole restaurant allowed us to catch the end of the sunset on the water, which was such a nice experience! We received our food around 15-20 minutes after ordering, and it was phenomenal - easily some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! The batter was crispy, and the fish was perfectly flaky. The double-dipped chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!”

“Shepherd's Rest Pub excelled in every category (food, staff, ambience). We ate here for dinner on two nights (four meals). The salmon was a really good portion, cooked through yet moist and tender. (We eat a lot of salmon and this meal ranks among the best.)The Haddock was also a good portion with plenty of tender, moist fish with a light crunch batter (definitely more fish than batter). The Mex-style burger was tasty and cooked perfectly (moist but cooked through). The grain salad with chicken was also great. We have been critical of meals elsewhere, but not the food we received at this pub on these two nights. The staff were super courteous and upbeat. They were also very busy, yet served us quickly. Just took more time to get the bill to pay. Shepherd's Rest has a classic pub ambience (difficult to describe it, right?), which made the meal and experience that much more enjoyable. One suggestion is to add other salad meal options beyond the current one, such as Caesar/Cos or tossed/house salad meal with choice of a few add-ons (chicken or salmon or prawns, etc.). Also, the slaw side salad should have less dressing and more of the shredded slaw veggies.”

Granddaughter would have liked pizza but only available for 5 & up. We overstayed our alloted time but staff didn't hussle us to move on, which was really appreciated but it wasn't full so I think we were lucky! Place looked spotlessly clean.”

“Went here for our work Christmas night out and the service was incredible. There was 15 of us and they made sure everything went perfectly. One person wasn't a fan of their meal (nothing wrong just not to their taste) and the server offered a replacement and when she said no offered her something else in the house. The male server we had (sorry didn't catch his name) was incredible making sure we were all looked after and drinks kept coming. We will definitely be back and will go again with family as the environment was amazing!”

Upon returning home she saw she had a missed call from Canmore, so called them back. "We don't seem to have a record of you paying" - virtually an accusation of us not having done so! I paid on my debit card, I checked this morning and sure enough the payment is there. I have to say this has left a rather sour taste and I don't think that we would go back.”

“Probably the most spectacular scenery I've seen on a golf Course,plus was lucky to play there on Friday with blue skys to match the sea.Enjoyed the challenge of the course,some tough par 3s shortish par 4s.across the railway it's more parkland with lovely turf on the greens and fairways,we were lucky enough to have an old friend and neighbour Tommy who's a member there to help us negotiate the course. Last but not least great friendly service and food in the clubhouse with amazing views,special mention to Joe who booked us for the golf and made sure we had a great day there with friendly banter and hospitality.👏⛳🍻”
