I had the Creole Caribe Jambalaya Bowl, I would've loved for it to be spicier but the flavors were still so well blended. Boyfriend had The Maverick, and it was just as excellent. Savory for sure, we'll definitely be back! 😊”

“This place has great service and friendly staff, the cashier even brought us waters to the table even though it’s a fast place. The food is interesting but not bad. They had plenty of vegetarian options; there was at least one vegetarian option in each section. The tofu is sweet though, it’s the same type used for inari. I think the burrito & bowl would have been better with a different type of tofu. The quesadilla was fine but I couldn’t really taste the kimchi, and it has mushrooms too which was interesting but not bad really.”

“We stopped in on a whim after reading some positive reviews on this restaurant. While it isn’t terrible, it certainly has a lot to improve on. The restaurant itself is fairly clean, nice decor, and modern. It doesn’t feel very authentic - very Americanized-Mexican. This is not a bad thing as it contributes to the overall experience, however it seems very corporate. The biggest downside here was the service. Incredibly slow, awkward, and unfriendly. There was around 4 front of house staff working (excluding the bar) and we were barely acknowledged. They could have gotten another two drinks out of us had they been able to check in on time. Not sure if this was due to scheduling/being busier than expected, however it was a Friday night and half empty, so it didn’t feel justified. Our server, while polite, was not around much, and did not seem very comfortable in her position. The food was tasty, although fairly small portions for value. I believe this is due to the fact it is in a high traffic area which justifies the price, and while the food is certainly edible it is not as fantastic as the price and atmosphere would lead you to believe. We would be open to trying this restaurant again in the future, however we will not be hurrying back based on the slow and impersonal service and the price v. quality offered”

Ambience: 5/5 - A great place to dine with friends and family for special occasions or just because… Service: 5/5 – our server, Bailey came to check on us often Food: 5/5 – ordered the halibut burger wrapped in lettuce rather than a brioche bun. It came with potato wedges. The fish was cooked to perfection & didn’t taste dry. The other dish was the seafood linguine with plenty of prawns, scallops & mussels in tomato sauce. We finished the meal off with crème crème brulee. I recommend all 3 dishes. There’s an extensive taco menu. Great choices for vegans and vegetarians. Value: 5/5 – reasonably priced compared to city prices Parking: 5/5 – complimentary parking in front If you’re ever in the neighbourhood in need of a good meal especially before or after a ferry ride, this is the place to go!
