“My grandparents come here multiple time during the year to fish. They have been coming here for many years now. The lake is beautiful and the park is nice. But I wish they would clean up the walking paths. I was going to walk my kids down one that has the steps down to a bridge then back up the steps but it was overgrown. Needs cleaning up. Also wish they would fix up their Geocache box on that bridge. We were disappointed to find it not being maintained.”

“Drive slow on the gravel roads for some of the further trails. I had to scoot over for another car to pass me and it's very narrow so my car tire was sliced by a rock on the mountain side so I had a blowout and then had to drive back through gravel on my rim and lost control of brakes because of this luckily made it to a safe spot but no cell service so I waited for someone to stop and luckily 5 minutes later good Samaritans stopped to help me get my donut on. I am so thankful to them!!! They got me back on the road safely!!! I also helped a turtle get across the road safely!”

“Amazing experience!! Me, Chris, and Rob had an absolute blast!! We did 2 days of fishing with our guide Trent who was an awesome and extremely talented guide!! He has a great sense of humor and made our experience even better!! We limited out on crappies our 1st day out (40 total) and went for the big ones the 2nd day out (caught 20 in total) and I even caught my personal best 5lb Largemouth Bass!! The food Jason prepared for us at The Slab Shack was unbelievably delicious and beyond our expectations!! We had such a wonderful and amazing experience that we booked our next trip there before we even left!! For me personally it was one of the best and most memorable fishing trips I’ve ever had! Thank you so much Jason and crew for making us feel like family and for your service and wonderful hospitality!! We look forward to seeing you all again in February!!”
