Forge Cinemas

2530 Parkway #7, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863, United States

“Staff is friendly. Just not super attentive. When we got there nobody was at the counter. About a minute passed before someone meandered over to us and helped. The theatre is a bit run down- it’s $5 though so I’m not complaining much. I’d like to see better staff and more smiles. They are probably underpaid. But- raise your prices by a hair and get better people- more will come. Probably good how it is. Love the experience, always wishing it was a touch deeper bass.”

Third Coast Comedy Club

“Be warned: it advertises as family friendly, but there are F bombs and other curse words often, and sexual situations are not off the table for topics. There was a dad who decided to take his middle school aged kid out halfway through. If you’re looking for good clean humor, this 7 PM show every Friday isn’t for you. It’s not to a hyper-raunchy degree: in fact, it was refreshing compared to a few other shows we’ve been at at other places that were just extremely uncomfortable. But it’s definitely not family friendly. We did enjoy our visit to Third Coast Comedy Club! We came for the 7 PM group Improv show. A side note: my wife got sick when we were supposed to go a month ago, and the staff was super helpful. While they don’t offer refunds, they kept our tickets “on hold” for us until I called in a few hours before and set our show for tonight. It was easy and quick. Traffic is crazy to get out there, but that’s Nashville. While parking is a bit much, especially because something crazy was happening nearby that night that brought 100s of teenage girls to see something ($2.50 an hour for the lots nearby), we got our way in. The club is in a renovated motorcar factory with tons of booths and shops inside along with the old factory equipment. It’s a fun atmosphere in the building. The bar is classy and a nice hangout area. The club itself is a bit cramped. We almost left because they asked us to split up since there’s no standing allowed during the show. Unless you reserve a table, the seats go fast. We did finally convince our guy to move a chair to get ourselves a spot to sit next to each other, which technically wasn’t “allowed” but we made it work. Long story short: be sure to get there very early. The show itself is SO fun. It’s in three parts: an hour short-skit section, a 10 minute intermission followed by a twenty-minute long form improv, then a brief standup section. The performers, who are mostly drama students at Vanderbilt if I’m not mistaken, are so fun. The light guy and piano guy have tons of fun adding cues and moments to the show. The audience was on fire tonight, with lots of great suggestions and input. There were several short skits where audience members had really fun roles, like a couple who got to see an “average day” played out after describing themselves. The performers do break character and crack up a lot, but it’s fun because you feel like “We’re all in this whacky thing together.” We’d definitely come back to Third Coast for another show! Overall: get there early, don’t bring your kids, and have a blast!”

Swingin' Midway Drive In

( 10 reviews )

2133 TN-30, Athens, TN 37303, United States

“We had a great time seeing a double feature here. Everyone kept their headlights off, and the snack bar had a lot of options. I got ribbon fries. Nice playground for kids, too, before the movie starts.”

Regal Downtown West
4.5
( 8 reviews )

1640 Downtown W Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37919, United States

“Pros: Most comfortable seats in town outside the cinebarre. Easy to get in and out at this location. Right in front of a great Mexican restaurant. Movies here are more of the indie type so attendance isn't as high and seems a bit more cultured and less apt to interrupt your movie experience. Like most Regals in the area the theater is clean. You're going to be able to see movies at this location that some cities the same size as Knoxville wouldn't have playing. Cons: This theater is older and does not have stadium seating, but the seats are way more comfortable than the ones they have at the Riviera and Pinnacle. Unless you are at a super crowded movie the seating here is superb. Sometimes the concessions are limited and they do seem to run out of things, and the pretzels at this location are not great.”

Cine Theater
4.5
( 8 reviews )

163 University Plaza Dr, Martin, TN 38237, United States

“Great feel and well-kept theater. Sound is best sitting closer to the screen. Generally, 6ish rows from the screen, you get a more full sound. Drink and snack prices are around the expected price. Have yet to be disappointed from watching any movies. Love that they support the new Christian films. Thanks, Cine Theater!”

Clarence Brown Theatre

1714 Andy Holt Ave, Knoxville, TN 37916, United States

“We saw "A Christmas Carol" (adapted by Edward Morgan and Joseph Hanreddy, Starring Jed Diamond, and many other wonderful actors). The show was excellent and the time flew by as we were drawn completely into the story.”

“This was my last time here. We arrived early so my 4 grandchildren could get their treats and seats and bathroom before the movie started. The theater darkened the sound started and... no movie. I watched as person after person went out to let them know, including my husband with no results. I went out walked to the counter apologized for interrupting and let the staff know the movie never started. I was told it's starting now. I thanked her and went back to my family. Unfortunately no the movie had not started. I waited another few minutes of sound with no movie and went back out again. I walked to the refreshment stand and let them know in fact still no movie and it would need to be restarted. A young lady yelled from way over by the front doors that if I " yelled again I would have to leave". I did say to that then I would like the 140 dollars back that I spent on tickets and popcorn. To that she turned and walked away. Embarrassing to her and I, in my opinion. So the movie was restarted and Mooned was the short shown before the main movie. It was inappropriate at best. The main character took the Lord's name in vain and he was a grown man in only his underwear. Did NOT match the vibe of Migration at all. To add to all of this, one of our reserved seats didn't work. Come on, when people spend a lot of money you can make the experience enjoyable. Kindness is free. We won't be back. There are other places that will happily take my money and be nice.”

“Been going here since it was open. All but 1 screen is standard. The DDD is with it. Also they are on $8 ticket during happy hour. The staff is always courteous and the popcorn is always fresh.”

Regal Tullahoma
4.1
( 8 reviews )

2221 N Jackson St, Tullahoma, TN 37388, United States

“This is our go-to for movies. We have the Regal Unlimited and try to get to at least 2 movies per month. The staff is always very nice and helpful. The theater is clean but doesn’t have the recliner seats I have seen in other Regals. The snack bar is great, the only drawback is they don’t have Icees.”

Amc Classic Towne Crossing 8

925 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, Greeneville, TN 37745, United States

“Many employees there but only 2 registers in use and a pretty slow line constantly lined up 2+ groups of people. Was good service. Just could have been quicker with a 3rd register in use if that's possible.”
