“Drinks only here for us as dinner booked elsewhere. Having read reviews which tbh are a bit of a mixed bag, we decided to give it a try and can't understand any negative comments .... Great choice of in-house brewed beers , decent prices , nice staff , bar / seating quirky in a nice way, and micro brewery on full view, which was quite interesting , we called in for one and ended up having 3 or 4 which speaks for itself 😄 No hesitation in recommending, and we will definitely call in again and also try the Yuzu street food cafe bar, which you can access through Cold Bath.”

It's best to book a table ahead as we only just got in. Small amount of stalls at the bar for drinking only. A fantastic bar. Boerenerf Kwee lambic was the star of the show as regards the beers.”

I have to drop a star for food as there was a hair in one of the entrees. I should have said something and am confident they would have changed it. However, I didn’t want to cause a scene. “Walked in without a reservation, and judging by how many people they unfortunately had to turn away, we timed it well! We were warned of a 30-40 min wait in food as we were seated which was fine, and I didn't time it but I don't think it took that long for our two burgers to come out. The menu is varied, with a few daily specials too. Drinks were reasonable and again, a good selection. Our two burgers (one beef and one lamb) were delightful, and the fries some of the crispiest I've had in a while. The service stood out though, with the team being personable and friendly - impressive after working all through December in my opinion!”

“Booked here blind really, not from Warrington. Thank goodness we did. One of the best meals out for a very long time. The staff and service were amazing. A lovely greeting as soon as you walked in. Staff were very attentive with a good sense of humour. Starters were steak tartare, which was gorgeous, and Tempura prawns and salt and pepper squid. Batter was light, and the prawns and squid lovely and soft. Mains were meat hanging kebab with garlic oil to pour over and half lobster, both really, really tasty. We will definitely be returning. Can't recommend highly enough.”

“Sadly, very disappointed, having read previous reviews. OH had the Sunday Roast, which was all fresh cooked produce and lovely. I had the Scampi and whilst the Scampi itself was good, the fries were just oven fries and they were drenched in salt. Seriously, I have never been presented a meal with that much salt on it. It made the fries inedible and I actually felt sick. Why put so much salt on when there is salt on the tables? Surely diners season to their own taste? You can’t remove what’s been added in the kitchen but you could add more, if you choose to. As someone else has said, the drinks are pricey-almost £7 for a pint. Service was great-couldn’t fault it. If you’re looking for romantic, or serene, this isn’t for you-really noisy. Sorry to say that I won’t be rushing back.”

“I wanted to congratulate the chef(s) and kitchen staff for the excellent carvery my family (8 of us) enjoyed at 1-30pm on 1/10/23. The beef melted in my mouth and was the best of any carvery I have had anywhere else. The vegetables were well cooked and not underdone as in some other establishments. Each of us commented on the beef and wondered how the chef cooked it to such perfection. The meal was to celebrate my wife’s birthday and went down a storm!
