“Harry's is a cosy, romantic place with well thought out dishes and friendly staff. I went for my boyfriends birthday and they were very helpful and friendly. I ordered the lobster which was divine. Melted perfectly and very garlicky. And I am a garlic girl. My bf got the steak and said it was a perfect meal. Everyone in our party loved their meals and while the price saves it for special occasions for us, the food is amazing and the portions are good.”

“Eaten at the Fisherman's Retreat with my Fiancee today for the First time, We went for Breakfast. We have always known about the excellent reputation that the Fisherman's Retreat has and we were not disappointed. Lovely warm welcome we were seated in front of the huge windows overlooking the beautiful countryside. For Drinks my Fiancee ordered a Cappuccino and I ordered a Flat white which was honestly one of the nicest Cappuccino and Coffee we had ever had. For Breakfast my Fiancee ordered a Full English breakfast minus the Black pudding and haggis, I ordered the large Full English breakfast which came with 3 Sausages, 3 Bacon, Potatoe rosti, Baked beans, Grilled Tomatoes, Grilled Mushrooms, Black pudding topped with haggis and a rack of toast and butter. Honestly the breakfast was absolutely amazing Fantastic quality ingredients, Great quality Sausages and bacon, Potatoe Rosti was amazing again it was my first time having Potatoe Rosti it was really nice. Service was absolutely fantastic, Food was amazing, Beautiful setting looking over the hills towards Ramsbottom and Peel Tower. We highly recommend the Fisherman's Retreat. 5☆”

“Love, love, love this restaurant! I've been here a few times, and it never fails to impress me. The staff are very friendly and polite and not 'overly' attentive, which is great. The food is amazing, and every dish I've tried has been delicious. They offer a lovely selection of decent wines and cocktails. “Arrived with no reservation and they were kind enough to accommodate us later on a busy Saturday night and I’m so glad they did - the charcoal grill in view of our table was an immediate reassurance this was going to be fantastic. We had the sweetbreads and burratta to start and then a sirloin and ribeye with a side of chips and a salad, and all was absolutely stunning. The steaks were cooked to medium rare perfection, the chips were the exact right balance of crisp and fluffy, the salad was simple but ideal for cutting through the richness. The service was warm and personable, and they were kind enough to cap off our meal with a limoncello on the house. Flawless experience, I can’t wait to return!”

It’s hails from Argentine, it’s technically an all you can eat establishment, you chose your vegetables, salads firstly then the meats is carved up and served to you, all sorts of meats are served, and it will served to you until you say your stuffed. The meats are so tasty, delicious and freshly cooked and served to you by the friendly servers, you will not be disappointed, vegetarians are fully catered also , so you will not miss out, the desert is also on the same tune, which is carved pineapple and ice cream, this is based on the assumption you have left enough space for desert. This is a great place to eat out, especially if you love meats, I definitely recommend and will return, making sure I fast for a day before attending.”

“Went here today in the sun and it was lovely! Not a bad price on the food considering it’s a large portion! I had the Travellers Burger with no relish but hot sauce instead and it was a lovely kick! The other half had a Med Veg Lasagne and I was blown away by it, the size was massive the chips were excellent really amazing flavour! “First time Dining here we set up a secret meal to celebrate our mums 53rd birthday here the place was spectacular very spacious great decor inside rustic feel with very nice touches wine racks and great detailed sealings and wall art and outside small touches like what can only be described as glitter in the bricks so as the cars pull out of the car park they sparkle a spacious smoking area also. We ordered a mixed range of starters from octopus to prawns to goats cheese and calamari the thing that stood out to me the most was the prawns in tomato based sauce great flaivour in the prawns but also in the sauce big big compliments to the chef I know it's a basic thing but once this is done properly and right ingredients come together it's spectacular. Moving on to the mains for me I always order Lamb as this is my way of telling a great restaurant from a exceptional restaurant again did not disappoint the lamb was fresh well seasoned and juicy great shish and lamb chop but star of the meal for me was the kofta such great taste of fresh lamb little bit of char colour and herbs in the mix was OUTSTANDING can't praise the quality of the lamb enough welldone to the chef and owner for selecting such great meat The others also had mixed grill and creamy chicken I tryed the creamy chicken tasted great presentation was very unique and even down to the mushrooms the earthy fresh flaivour was mouth watering . Was time for desert we was quite full but we ordered anyways to share apple pie and creme brulee Great flaivour in the apple pie with big chuncks of apple inside nice aromatic spices used inside For me creme brulee was the one it's such a simple desert but once you have a really nice one you will always compare to the mediocre ones . In conclusion great first experience set the bar high and will definitely come back again Superb atmosphere and ambiance with very professional and friendly staff . A place for me to say to everyone please try it and support a great establishment that is well put together along with superb food you will not be disappointed in coming here .
