The Bothy is a very nice venue, the staff lovely and the food served quickly and efficiently. The shop is excellent with some lovely fresh and frozen produce, and who doesn't love seeing the animals. New baby pigmy goats being born at the moment who are so very tiny and utterly adorable!”

“Excellent food let down by truly terrible service with an enforced tip. Our Spanish waiter was rude and impatient, rolling his eyes as we ordered. Did not make us feel welcome, and hurried us along, especially with the wine choices. We were hoping for recommendations and instead it felt like he was a breath away from tutting at us. We were sat outside, which is really inside the centre, but it was weird having people walk past you to go to other bars while you're eating. Not a very good atmosphere really, and if we had been given a choice to dine inside the restaurant, we would have taken it. Food quality was excellent. I'd strongly recommend the scallops and black pudding, but you can't go wrong with anything here. The chorizo was delicious but definitely stays with you for a few hours. All of our food bar the mushroom dish was served at the same time. We waited about ten minutes and then flagged down a curly haired server, who told us that "it's probably still coming". It wasn't. A different person came to clear our plates and when we asked again, she said that he "probably forgot". No accountability. We finally got the mushrooms, but the entire table had finished eating by then. Not great at all. An enforced tip on the bill sealed the deal. I'm sure we could have asked them to remove it but no doubt it would have took another 30 minutes. Would we come back? Probably not. There's other places nearby that do good food with actual competent service.”

CONS: The portion sizes were slightly smaller than what should be priced for, especially the cheesy fries as we were told by a waitress that it would be enough for two people. As mentioned before, the food took a while despite only ordering one burger each for two people with barely any customers in the room. PROS: The food was great and worth the price overall. It was filling for the both of us and would recommend again. The staff were also approachable and polite.”

“The ferry is a very cozy place, they open only on Saturdays and Sundays, it's at the heart of Glasgow City center. They serve food till 8:30 but drinks is been sold downstairs and they also have guest artists come in to serenade people and all. It's actually quite cheap and they have the 3-course meal. The wash room is very standard and neat, it's a really great view at night.”

“One of the best places we have been. We travel a lot, I mean in the UK and Europe as well. Delicious food, friendly attentive staff, fresh cakes, tasty ice cream and strong coffee served quickly and in style. Even the fudge is homemade and over delicious! Portions are huge. Grant yourself additional time to be ready to leave. :) The restrooms are modern and full of art, crispy clean and stuffed with all necessary items. The place is child friendly, doggies have their space outside. Assistance dogs are welcome inside. It was a pleasure to be their guests. We definitely will plan our rides through the AH+L on our upcoming journeys.”

“Seen this place as we're staying in the area for a few days. Loved it, Cajun chunky fries were delicious & cooked to perfection, big portion too. My pepperoni pizza with the veg was exactly what I was in the mood for. My man had the BBQ & wolfed it down, pretty much to himself. Nice of them to let us sit in although it's not really a restaurant, more a takeaway/delivery place. Benches outside too for the warmer weather. The man who delivered our food & checked on us was very kind. Would definitely recommend or go back if we're in the area.”

“Visited on a recent trip to Glasgow and it was a very good experience overall. I had the classic style of burger in the form of the American and it was excellent. Well-seasoned beef on a robust bun with a side of fantastic tater tots I could just polish off a bowl of. My partner had the same burger with a side of terrific onion rings. Service was notably good with staff being super friendly to us and tables nearby, as well as knowledgeable about the product”
