“Great ice cream and a large variety of flavours!! 1 scoop is £3.50, 2 scoops is £4.50 and 3 scoops is £5.50. Reasonably priced as they taste really good, very rich and true to the flavours. It's a very small, cute store that sells coffee, ice creams and sweets. Staff was nice and friendly and service was quick. It's very conveniently located next to a fish and chip shop (the bay) so after eating fish and chip, end the meal with an ice cream!!”

“Having recently stayed in Appin for just over a week, I visited the Creagan Inn 4 times and was never disappointed. The staff was efficient, friendly, and engaging. I had their fish and chips, as well as the Cullen Skink, both of which were excellent. There is a large outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy your meal and a gorgeous view of Loch Linnhe, yet plenty of indoor seating should you want to escape the elements outside. I will most definitely return.”

“Great restaurant and I'm a local so been a few times and food, cocktails, wine are always great. Also great for coffee and brunch during the day and very kid friendly. Only suggestion is there could be more vegetarian choice as I think I only saw one. I'm not a veggie but just thinking if I was taking someone who was they wouldn't have much choice. Mind you my friend asked for mac and cheese off the lunch menu and they were very accommodating. And also the cauliflower starter is immense 😋”

“Visited this lovely restaurant for a Saturday lunch in November. Beautiful interiors (and equally quirky exteriors!) with a fascinating history. The staff were all so friendly and the place was busy even in November, so booking is recommended, you really get the feeling it’s a community favourite round here. We had the Lobster Thermidor, which was brilliant. It came with instructions on how to crack open the lobster and we had a few laughs with the manager while doing it. Very generous portion sizes. We had the Apple Pie for dessert which was also excellent. The staff gave us some tips on where to continue our adventure, there’s a seaside walk to the nearby Blackness Castle which rounded off a wonderful afternoon. 10/10 - will return again for sure. Thank you to everyone at The Lobster Pot!”

“Excellent food let down by truly terrible service with an enforced tip. Our Spanish waiter was rude and impatient, rolling his eyes as we ordered. Did not make us feel welcome, and hurried us along, especially with the wine choices. We were hoping for recommendations and instead it felt like he was a breath away from tutting at us. We were sat outside, which is really inside the centre, but it was weird having people walk past you to go to other bars while you're eating. Not a very good atmosphere really, and if we had been given a choice to dine inside the restaurant, we would have taken it. Food quality was excellent. I'd strongly recommend the scallops and black pudding, but you can't go wrong with anything here. The chorizo was delicious but definitely stays with you for a few hours. All of our food bar the mushroom dish was served at the same time. We waited about ten minutes and then flagged down a curly haired server, who told us that "it's probably still coming". It wasn't. A different person came to clear our plates and when we asked again, she said that he "probably forgot". No accountability. We finally got the mushrooms, but the entire table had finished eating by then. Not great at all. An enforced tip on the bill sealed the deal. I'm sure we could have asked them to remove it but no doubt it would have took another 30 minutes. Would we come back? Probably not. There's other places nearby that do good food with actual competent service.”

“The perfect place for brunch. The service is outstanding, doesn’t get better than this. They allowed me to adapt the full breakfast because I don’t eat tomato or mushrooms, so I exchanged it for something else. The coffee is beans are good, Artisan roast… but you have to ask for those beans specifically. The preparation could have been better and the machine temperature was set too hot. However, I understand it’s not a specialty coffee place. Would recommend!”

“The shop here has some lovely gifts, great coffee and cakes which we had as a take out and took it down to the pond and Willow and Fairy walks. The Labyrinth is disappointing but the other walks are lovely! The Willow walk was great to see the talent that went into creating the huts etc and the Fairy walk was so cute, even as 2 30 year old adults 🤣 definitely will be back!”

They had no intention of going to the street party yet told they would have to pay £35 a head. What's up with you people?”

“The ferry is a very cozy place, they open only on Saturdays and Sundays, it's at the heart of Glasgow City center. They serve food till 8:30 but drinks is been sold downstairs and they also have guest artists come in to serenade people and all. It's actually quite cheap and they have the 3-course meal. The wash room is very standard and neat, it's a really great view at night.”
