My husband and I returned to the Windmill Cafe for their special walleye breakfast. It was amazing; totally yummy! They offer their walleye breakfast and lunch special only once a month on the second Friday. I love supporting this local, small business! ❤️”

“**First off, I would give 4.5 stars, but there's no option to do so.** They have a really great setup here, and there's lots of seating, even when busy. The beers were delicious and well-made. The half star is for the basic cheeseburger, not very flavorful - add some seasoning to the meat, and it's a 5-star. The queso was the standout on the chips/dip app. We would return, great atmosphere and great options all around.”

“Prime rib was at least 50% fat ( see photos) Took more time to cut off fat than eat the prime rib. Poor service ! Water glass was not refilled until she gave us the bill…almost an hour after ordering! Waitress seemed preoccupied with other tables even though it was overly busy . Last time we were here was with group of nearly 50. Service and food was great since owners were directly involved! Need more quality control and wait help training !”

“Neat supper club feel. Our waitress Skyla was friendly, fast and attentive. My husband got the smoked pork chop which was extremely good, so was his baked potato. My chicken strips were also quite tasty. The Caesar salads had too much crouton crushed on top. And the Bread Basket was hard pieces of garlic bread that were completely soaked in oil so we couldn't eat them. We also ordered an appetizer of onion rings on recommendation of our bed and breakfast host and they were good as well but also very greasy. This restaurant did have another negative. They charge you to use a card and the more your bill is the more you get charged! Which makes no sense as it is usually a basic nine cent flat fee to use a card (easy to look up Mn law for this online) . So we had to pay $1.50 to pay with a card for our bill that was over $50. Kind of ridiculous! If anything it should be the more you spend the less you get charged, not the other way around as it does not cost the restaurant any more no matter what the bill is.”

“Absolutely delicious pizza and stellar staff. The flavors of the pizza’s were balanced incredibly well. The perfect amount of cheese and other toppings. The thin crust is the way to go and it was made to perfection. It was made fresh so there was a few minutes wait, but it is definitely worth it. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and gave amazing recommendations. It is a bit of a smaller place so it can get quite full depending on what is happening.”

Mushroom Swiss burger was okay, I was expecting more of the golden mushroom sauce as stated on the menu. Cheese curds were underwhelming. Chicago dog was worse than Sonic Chicago dogs; not enough celery salt and the dog itself tasted worse than dog food. My husband ordered a breakfast skillet that he thoroughly enjoyed.”
