Had a bite of my partners wild rice burger too. If veggie burgers suit you, this one fits nicely. However, they use an egg as a binder. Everything was enjoyable and I will continue to come here over other spots. It’s my second visit and I can safely say it’s reliable, consistent, and a great place to visit if you’re in Duluth. Additionally, the building is dog friendly, the beer is good, and there are a few delightful shops in this historic gem including a high end coffee shop, market, and outdoor shop.”

Ended up settling on bananas foster crepes during the brunch service with a side of cheesy hash browns. All I have to say is that there was not a morsel left on my plate because of how deliciously perfect everything tasted. Artisan made fresh food with perfect portions for a reasonable price. “I attempted to make reservations for a celebration dinner on the website but the link would not work. I called the phone number listed and was given an automated voice that said they would send me a link to make my reservations and it hung up on me. I never got a message. I called and finally got a hold of someone and was informed you can only make reservations for parties or 5 or more people? It is over an hour drive to this restaurant, yet I am are unable to make a reservation to secure a table? I hope one day to be able to visit as I have heard good things about this place, however the customer service needs to be worked on.”

“This was my first time here and I’m glad I found this place. Me and a couple buddies stopped in here for dinner and we all raved about the BBQ. Me and a buddy got the brisket and my other buddy got a half rack of ribs. The brisket was probably the best brisket I’ve ever had! The place was very full but it didn’t stop them from providing us great service. Our waiter was great. I already have plans to go back!”

“Heard a rumor that this place makes a mean Long Island. Took my sister there for her birthday, since that is her favorite choice of drink. She really liked it and agreed that it lived up to the rumor! We ordered the thin crust house pizza, with half Canadian bacon and pineapple. The other half was sausage, bell peppers and black olives. We also had the wings ( Buffalo). The drinks are good and decently priced. The food was delicious!!! The atmosphere was great and the staff was exceptionally wonderful. We all agreed...that we'll be going there again! I definitely recommend this place for people who love playing pool. Pool tournaments! Bingo too!”

“Absolutely incredible. All around perfect. Every staff member was friendly, everything was clean, and every aspect of the food was high quality. I can't recommend this place enough. The small town atmosphere was welcoming, especially for visitors from the cities. It seemed like a lot of people knew each other. Our waitress recommended french toast with bacon and she did not disappoint! The bacon was cooked perfectly, chewy but on the verge of being crispy which easily satisfies the long standing chewy vs crispy bacon lover debate. The french toast was also cooked perfectly and the melting butter combined with powdered sugar was mouth watering. Hash browns- also perfect, crispy golden brown and the added onions and cheese really set it off. The coffee came out extra hot, which I love and they offer half n half or french vanilla. Our waitress was working hard but seemed genuinely happy to help. To top our experience off- even using the bathroom on the way out was pleasant. It smelled like it was freshly cleaned and it was sparkling. Seriously an all around awesome experience. I imagine if I owned a restaurant I would strive to be like Jill's Cafe.”

“A very nice small restaurant. While I was here I got the Bacon Jam Burger and fries. The fries were phenomenal, maybe just a little over salted. The burger was great as well and was cooked to perfection. The service was amazing and the atmosphere is nice. I might have to check this place out again. I got some ice cream for dessert and the total came out to about $20 and change for one (after tax before tip). So it's not a bad deal either. Would recommend!”

Recommend the duck laab and shrimp rolls. The aesthetic is calming and organic. It’s beautiful. The service was fantastic, never felt rushed, was clean and super friendly. We went on a Sunday evening and it was still busy but not over crowded.”
