Dundee Rep Theatre
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Tay Square, Dundee DD1 1PB, United Kingdom

“We were lucky enough to be in the audience for the first performance of a Christmas Carol. This was the first time myself and my partner visited the Rep and we were blown away with the quality of the show, the friendliness of the staff and the positive atmosphere. We will definitely be back. Thanks to all who work hard to make such outstanding entertainment a reality 👏”

The Gaiety Theatre
4.7
( 16 reviews )

Carrick St, Ayr KA7 1NU, United Kingdom

“Have been coming to the Gaiety for years & every time I come to see a show, I seem to see a bit of architecture, etc, that I'd not noticed before. Inside the building is beautiful with three levels to view a show from. You have the stalls, the circle & what we all called 'the gods' as it seems so high up. There are also two boxes to watch a show, too. There have been some great shows here & thankfully, there still are great shows coming throughout the year. The prices are very good & the staff, who are mainly volunteers, are very courteous, happy & knowledgeable. I've just seen the pantomime with my granddaughter & had a truly brilliant time. The only issue I have, which is nothing at all to do with the theatre, is the car park beside it as the machines are either not working or you have to get a ticket using a website whilst in the car park & you only get 3 hours which at times have made it a close thing to get back to the car before the time runs out. It's a private company who own it & as far as I'm aware are extremely strict on enforcing times etc.”

Escape Reality Edinburgh

One Edinburgh Quay, 1 Fountainbridge, Edinburgh EH3 9QB, United Kingdom

“The best experience ever, me and my boyfriend went together as a present for him for the national boyfriend day and it was best, we have never been to any escape rooms before, this was our first time and the game master Cameron was really really helpful, he was so patient with us and also gave some extra time as there was no one after us to make us feel so much better and made our experience as a cherry on the top! Unfortunately we couldn’t escape the Nosferatu room but it was so fun!! We will definitely be back to do more….”

( 16 reviews )

Blairlinn Rd, Luggiebank, Glasgow G67 4AA, United Kingdom

“This place is a must-see. I have never seen so many different birds in one place. The birds are very well cared for by the staff. The cages were all very clean. The staff are very knowledgeable about the birds and you could tell they love each and every bird. And, the birds seemed to feel very comfortable with each handler. We will return, and we highly recommend that if you are in the area, stop by. It is well worth the visit. Also, they have a lovely Cabin Cafe. Good food and welcoming owners. Very cozy and very clean.”

“My intro to dance base was through the bollywood classes taught by my amazing teacher Rajani Ravikumar. It’s always fab to go in the dance class with whatever mood I am on and I just return happy forgetting what was going on with me. It’s helped me to be more happy, more positive. As well as a shout out to the amazing members of the bollywood crew who are all now friends. P.S. there is a clause that you’ll need to think of a cool and hopefully bizarre answer to an ice breaker question, be prepared!”

“We had a blast trying to escape their Star Crew room!! Our game masters were Sean and Richard. They made us feel welcome and explained the rules in a clear manner. We were able to escape the room and enjoyed the way the tasks progressed. The tasks were challenging initially but after a bit of thinking we figured them all out. We would definitely come back and try one of their other rooms!”

Eastwood Park Theatre & Gallery

“Excellent performance. Those involved are a credit to their craft. Attended with a local school as a chaperone, and the staff and actors were tremendous. The panto itself had all the classics bits you'd expect, "he's behind you," double-entendre's galore, and generally just a great family day out. It really helps you get in the Christmas spirit.”

Broadcast

4.2
( 8 reviews )

427 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow G2 3LG, United Kingdom

“I love a grungy pub but I have never been to a dirtier pub in my lifetime. It’s obviously been a very long time since the toilets were cleaned properly, skirting was filthy and hand drier/hot taps did not work. The young bar staff spent more time talking to each other or on their laptops to serve behind the bar! They were rude and we felt like an inconvenience! Will definitely not be returning and would advise you same.”

Belhaven Brewery

Brewery Ln, Dunbar EH42 1PE, United Kingdom

“Belhaven Brewery, located in Dunbar, East Lothian, is a true gem that every beer enthusiast should experience. With its rich history and excellent guided tours, it offers an unforgettable journey through the world of brewing. The brewery's history is nothing short of remarkable. Established in 1719, Belhaven is one of Scotland's oldest working breweries, and its legacy is evident in the quality of its beers. With almost 300 years of expertise in crafting exceptional brews, Belhaven has become synonymous with traditional Scottish ales and stands as a proud ambassador for the country's brewing culture. I had the pleasure of experiencing the guided tour of Belhaven Brewery, led by the knowledgeable and passionate Chris. He greeted us with a warm smile and set the tone for an engaging and informative visit. Chris's enthusiasm for brewing was contagious, and it was evident that he took great pride in sharing the brewery's story. During the tour, Chris took us through the different stages of the brewing process, from the malt room to the fermentation vessels. He explained the importance of using the finest ingredients, such as locally sourced barley and water from the brewery's own well. His attention to detail and ability to explain complex brewing techniques in a simple yet captivating manner made the experience even more enjoyable. One highlight of the tour was the opportunity to sample some of Belhaven's iconic beers. Albeit, I was driving and had to sample the beers when I got home. Chris guided us through a tasting session, offering interesting insights into the unique characteristics of each brew. From the smooth and rich Scottish Ale to the refreshing and crisp Belhaven Twisted Thistle IPA, every sip was a testament to the brewery's craftsmanship. It was a delightful sensory experience that further deepened my appreciation for Belhaven's dedication to producing outstanding beer. Moreover, the visit to Belhaven Brewery allowed us to immerse ourselves in its charming surroundings. Nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Dunbar, the brewery exuded a sense of history and tradition. The Victorian buildings and stunning views of the coastline added an enchanting backdrop to the tour, making it an unforgettable experience. In conclusion, Belhaven Brewery is a treasure trove for beer enthusiasts, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From its storied history to the expertly guided tour provided by Chris, every aspect of the visit was infused with passion and a genuine love for the craft of brewing. If you find yourself in Dunbar, East Lothian, a visit to Belhaven Brewery is an absolute must.”

“Was here for a Halloween themed birthday party and my daughter loved it. The laser tag on the soft play went down a storm. The food was decent as well with pizza and chips. Not the biggest soft play there is but has all the good bits with big slides and climbing areas. I don’t live locally but anyone who does should try it out.”
