“Nice stroll with my 3yr old and husband. The ground is a bit uneven in someplace with bricks along the ground which are very slippery when wet. Some areas had streams running through which made it hard to walk up. Nice Park tidy and some sign posts about to help keep on track areas for toilets at the rangers office and is animal friendly.”

“Went here with my son and had a great experience. Really pleasant and smart staff. The course was immaculately kept with no damaged grass harming the game (such a nice change from the usual adventure golf you get else), and with nothing too gimmicky. Lots of cool features as you go around. Best adventure golf I’ve ever been to (and been trying a few lately).”

“Great golf course, we played the international and enjoyed the round. Very challenging course with a bit of water and very long rough. Nice clubhouse with very friendly staff who are obviously used to corporate visitors rather than the stuffy feel of lots of members clubs. Nice feel to the clubhouse with lots of memorabilia and a decent club shop.”

Great Linford Manor Park (the Parks Trust)
4.6
( 8 reviews )

Great Linford, Milton Keynes MK14 5AS, United Kingdom

“Fantastic park with sculptures and a variety of different trees planted in the grounds. Many have little signs on them so you can see what they are. We were so lucky to go this time of year when all the leaves are changing and falling it was a beautiful autumn day. There were a few geese and ducks on a pond. The trails are well maintained with gravel and wide with plenty of room for people, pushchairs and wheelchair users. The park was just lacking litter and dog poo bin. We found an empty drink tin that someone had littered and picked it up but we were unable to find a bin anywhere. Lovely to see the canal boats.”

Jungle Rumble Adventure Golf - Bristol

Cabot Circus, Glass Walk, Broadmead, Bristol BS1 3BQ, United Kingdom

“I went here for my mother's birthday not long ago with my family and it was a fantastic day out. None of us are particularly good at golf but it was so much fun that anyway the courses are really interesting and the lighting and the decorations are really cool. There are two types of courses and easier and harder course. With four or five people one course can easily take an hour especially if it is busy so there is no need to spend extra money for two rounds unless you are really good at golf!”

Dukes Meadows Golf, Tennis & Ski

Dan Mason Dr, Chiswick, London W4 2SH, United Kingdom

“I was sceptical, because I only had time for 1 X 30 minute lesson before I left for my snowboarding trip (due to how popular they are here and how late I left booking), and as it's quite pricey, I wondered what they could teach me in 30 minutes. I was very, very impressed! I was coached by Ebony, and she was superb! Very patient, very knowledgeable and had a great teaching technique. I am thrilled that I came here. Well worth the money, they really crammed a lot of learning into the 30 minutes.”

Wyboston Lakes Golf Club

Wyboston Lakes, Great N Rd, Wyboston, Bedford MK44 3AL, United Kingdom

“Had 2 rounds and an overnight stay here in September 23. The course is very nice. Greens were slow day one but had had a torrent of rain the day before. Day 2 they were much better as the greenkeepers had managed to cut them. The hotel was also very nice - spotlessly clean. Food was lovely, both evening meal and breakfast. Overall would definitely recommend. A nice gentle course with no hills whatsoever”

West Lancashire Golf Club

“This is pure links and pure class. West lancs is celebrating its 150th year so on arrival we were gifted a really cool west lancs goody bag which included a little bottle of whiskey, quite fitting as one needs a bit of Dutch courage to take on this beast of a course! It’s very unforgiving and in tough weather a real challenge. Condition is stunning. I was a bit suprised to see such a modern club house on arrival, I t’s a great set up with very friendly and helpful staff. The reception hallway is very similar to Birkdale with images of the great players that have played there in open qualifying. Sadly I am going through a purple match (as we all do at some point in our games) but my lack of form and horrendous score did not detract from my enjoyment of this wonderful course. I will return with my game on form to try once more to take on west lancs.”

“This is our third visit and it never let's us down. All the staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The clubhouse is really nice and welcoming and both bar and evening meals are excellent. We stayed in one of the lodges and the facilities are amazing. So Spacious and includes a secure garage area to leave your golf clubs and trolleys etc including power to recharge your electric trolleys. Inside the lodge was a utility room with washing machine and a sauna. The lodge was spotless and a shame that we were only in it for a couple of days. The golf course was in excellent condition and having the 3X 9 holes makes it feel like your playing a different course everyday. Only downside was the bunkers obviously have a drainage issue and really frustrating at actually losing balls as the water in some was so deep that you couldn't retrieve them. Yes I know, I shouldn't be in them anyway 🤦‍♂️. Overall though this was a fantastic trip away and definitely give it 5 🌟.”

Willow Valley Golf

Highmoor Ln, Brighouse HD6 4JB, United Kingdom

“At Willow Valley Golf Club there are 3 golf courses, a driving range, a moderately sized practice putting area and a short game area. The driving range isn't the smartest ive seen but it is functional and is a welcome practice and/or warm up facility. The other practice facilities are great and well maintained. There are also teaching professionals who offer both individual and (very reasonably priced) group tuition. I have had some coaching from Joe at WVGC and I can highly recommend his services. I have played all three courses many times and they offer a good variety of challenge. 1) Fountain Ridge: This is the 9 hole course. It comprises of 6 Par 3 holes and 3 par 4s. All of the holes are relatively short but there is a nice bit of variety for such a small course (2 dogleg holes - one left and one right, some slight elevation changes and a few well placed bunkers). The course is very beginner friendly but is also good fun for golfers of all abilities; I sometimes play the 9 hole course if I'm short on time but still want to have a knock around. Be aware; it is a popular course and being so beginner friendly means you may well encounter players of a poorer standard or very young players etc. However everyone has to start somewhere (and this is a great place to do just that) so as long as you accept that on busy days you might be waiting a little, there should be no issue. 2) Pine Valley: The first of two 18 hole courses. This I would say is a good step up from the fountain ridge course, providing longer holes and more of a "full" golfing experience, but is still beginner friendly. With a slope rating of 97 this course is very forgiving. Most greens are open on approach and not heavily guarded by bunkers etc. The bunkers there are though, are well placed in areas, and at distances that are fitting for the beginner - intermediate golfer. Better golfers will not find a great challenge here but will still find a fun and enjoyable round of golf. I like to play Pine when I just want a relaxing round. I will say that the Pine course is very popular and can start to suffer from heavy use as the season goes on; tee boxes can be particularly worn at times, though it would be tough to keep up with so much traffic. My only real issue with Pine is that there are a lot of casual golfers who either don't know or don't care about the rules and etiquette of golf, meaning on occasion you can be stuck being groups who ignore much faster groups (or individual players) and insist on hacking their way slowly around the course as you stand on the tee tearing your hair out. I appreciate everyone is playing as well as they are able, it's just that there are rules in place specifically to tackle this issue. Failure to repair pitchmarks also seems to be a popular characteristic of some of the less golf-savvy clientele. 3) Willow Valley: the "Championship Course". This full 18 hole course provides a good challenge for any player. With a slope rating of between 129 and 137 (depending on tee box) it is a great test. There is a lot of water on this course, some tight fairways and an interesting variety of holes in terms of shape, elevation, length and hazards. Simply hitting driver on every hole is likely to get you into trouble and thinking your way around the course is advisable. I have been reliably informed the club actually removed a number of bunkers from the course a few years ago as it was felt to be too challenging! During the season this course is well maintained, the greens are typically quick and roll beautifully and I would recommend a round here to anyone who is serious about their game. I will add that, out of season, all three of the courses can get VERY wet and boggy in places - I have lost balls in the centre of the fairways at times due to balls plugging so deeply. However, there is a refund policy clearly displayed and the course is regularly inspected and will be closed if conditions get too bad. All in all Willow Valley Golf is a great club with a wide range of facilities and options for all abilities.”

Walton Heath Golf Club

Deans Lane, Walton-on-the-Hill, Tadworth KT20 7TP, United Kingdom

“Stunning course with great staff. Course is setup to be challenging but rewarding and offers great views as you work your way round. Bunkers are well placed but well maintained and the heather isn’t as tight as feared. Driving range is a bit of a walk away but that’s the only issue I found, would highly recommend”

“Visited today on a society day 32 guys, great welcome small breakfast with filter coffee. Great service by the way. Wasn't expecting such a Vibrant place great clubhouse with all the facilities, we played the Oak Course. The course was well presented in great condition considering the drought situation and the tee's, greens and surrounds really good condition, superfast greens. Some really nice golf holes with ditches in front of the greens making you play good golf shots. Finished off with Ham, Eggs and chips, the service we received was fantastic. Overall a great day had by all.”

Wallasey Golf Club

Bayswater Rd, Wallasey CH45 8LA, United Kingdom

“This is possibly the best course I have ever played. As a first time visitor I found the clubhouse to be very welcoming and friendly. The course itself is immaculate and a great test of golf.... bring your A game you will need it. The first cut of rough isn't too bad but if you go too wide off the tee you get punished and probably safest to take a provisional. The history of this club is also amazing... enjoy the course.”

The Royal North Devon Golf Club

“Awesome golf course in an unreal setting and very well maintained, highly recommend playing here if you get the chance. Demanding but fair course that makes you think. If you’re getting a caddie ask for Dave, great guy who knows his stuff”
