“I had an incredible experience at the stony beach by the seaside. This hidden gem boasts an idyllic combination of captivating tides, playful seagulls, and excellent surf conditions. The rhythmic crashing of the waves against the stony shoreline created a soothing symphony that immediately set the tone for a relaxing day. The natural beauty of the surroundings, coupled with the presence of seagulls soaring gracefully overhead, added a touch of enchantment to the entire setting. For surfing enthusiasts, this beach is a paradise. The consistent tides and perfectly formed waves provided an exhilarating surfing experience that catered to both beginners and seasoned surfers alike. The joy of riding the waves against the backdrop of the vast sea was truly invigorating. Convenience was not compromised either. The presence of a well-maintained roadside and ample parking facilities made the beach easily accessible, making it an ideal destination for families and solo travelers alike. Moreover, the beach's suitability for camping allowed me to extend my stay and fully immerse myself in the tranquil atmosphere. In summary, this stony beach is a captivating haven that offers the best of nature's beauty and recreational activities. Whether you're seeking a thrilling surf session or a peaceful camping retreat, this beach has it all. It's a treasure trove that guarantees unforgettable memories against the backdrop of the sea, tides, and the ever-charming seagulls.”

“Water is blue, have mainly 2 shades to it, light and dark blue, absolutely mesmerizing and the place is serene. Sometimes it also have shades of green. It has plenty of parking space and boat launch area. You can also spot people fishing. The water is crystal clear and you can view submerged or underwater plants. Its not an ordinary lake with a sandy beach. It's rocky with no sand, so do take chairs with you if you want to sit and relax. There is biking trail all along. Can also spot poison ivy in the area. All in all a beautiful location and a must visit.”

Monck Provincial Park
4.5
( 8 reviews )

#1, Quilchena, BC V0E 2R0, Canada

“The good Excellent provincial park, well kept, sites were raked - gravel base. Tables and sizing were fantastic. Outhouses were flush with running water and sinks. Ice sold at entry way, beach is wonderful and water views are excellent. The bad Because of the flora and Fauna around a sun shelter is a most, don't expect to tarp anything off, the trees are to sparse, most sites see a lot of sun. The week of August 13 saw a blue/gree algae bloom, not the parks fault, but definitely impacted the enjoyment surrounding the water.”

Swiws (haynes Point) Provincial Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 04:30 PM

32 Ave, Osoyoos, BC V0H 1V2, Canada

“We arrived in early October without a reservation, little di we know it is BC Parks most popular campground. Luckily when we arrived in the dark, there were quite a few spots available and we had a Lakeside pitch. In the morning in daylight it was stunning. It was $32 and not the normal $20 we'd been used to, so we were a bit surprised. However, all the other private campgrounds were similarly higher in cost compared to similar grounds elsewhere. The flushing loos were an added bonus. The hosts were incredibly friendly to us and gave us loads of advice. Weather was great, the birdlife was fantastic and there's a great series of trails in the day use area of the spit which we loved. There was so much to do and see here that we could have spent weeks here with all the fruit and veg stalls and wineries. Could do nothing but praise the site and location.”

Kinsmen Beach Park
4.5
( 8 reviews )

Maple St, Chemainus, BC V0R 1K1, Canada

“It's a must stop spot if you're traveling through the area. Nice selection of shops and finds, and the Beach Park is beautiful, clean, and if the tide is out, a gorgeous view walks on the beach.”

Moyie Lake Provincial Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )

3208 Brana Rd, Moyie, BC V0B 2A0, Canada

“This park is easy to find on Hwy 95 just north of Moyie BC and south of Cranbrook, BC. The park has a large adventure style playground and a bike park located in the middle of the campground beside the large shower/toilet building. Paved roads and paved trails give this park good accessibility access. The beach near the campground has parking and a gravel/rocky shore line. Paved boat launch with pier and parking for trucks and boat trailers. The beach is not located at the campground. There is a public promenade to the each that crosses in from of private land that we did not find inviting and there is a road to the beach that does not allow RV’s so we did not see or use the beach when we visited. Showers, drinking water, trails, and sani-dump are all provided but no services at camp sites. There are multiple shower buildings making this a good destination park for your vacation if you don’t mind the location of the beach and rocky shoreline.”

Malaspina Galleries
4.8
( 8 reviews )

99 Malaspina Dr, Gabriola, BC V0R 1X1, Canada

“Second time here and the natural beauty is enchanting. It's tucked away and you feel like you have found a real special place when you walk under the riptide curls”

Green Point Campground
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Green Point Campground, BC-4, Ucluelet, BC V0R 3A0, Canada

“Went for a quick two day camp trip. Hadn't been to Green Point in over 20 years. The things we loved about it were still there (the beaches, the hiking, the camp spots) plus the new additions (new bathrooms with showers, electric hookups at the camp site). Bonus was a real camp fire with firewood! We went camping several times this summer and this was the first real campfire we had all year. Bring cash to buy fire wood.l We absolutely love this place.”

Martha Creek Provincial Park
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Columbia-Shuswap, BC V0E 2S0, Canada

“We were so thrilled to camp here. The sites aren't terribly close together and there is quite a bit of privacy between some of the sites. There are fresh water stations, pit toilets, garbage and recycle disposals and also a sani dump to dump your grey and black water (the charge is $5). Your dog must be leashed and under control at all times, which is excellent for people who might have reactive dogs that don't appreciate off leash dogs running up to them. There is an offleash hike you can take your dogs on for some run time if you need. The site itself was clean for the most part except people leaving their cigarette butts lying around. The campground is nice and quiet even during the day and the water of Revelstoke Lake is cold and refreshing. Definitely have your children in a life jacket if they're not strong swimmers as the drop off is extreme (20 ft down in steps from the water's edge in some spots).”
