“Doesn't even deserve 1 star purchased a car on 22nd march. On the day i bought I was told that I'm getting a good deal due to new gearbox just been put in it. On the day I collected the car it had to go back after making a Loud Squeaking noise. Give then there dues it got sorted right away. On further inspection when I got home. Under the bonnet there was no heat shield. This dangerous if there was a fire. The side skirts were almost coming off couple of weeks later the car wouldn't down shift in to 2nd gear so it went back to the garage to get All this sorted this probelm took over 6 weeks to get sorted or at least I thought it was all sorted after getting the car back. Another week later thankfully I just came of the duel carriage way and the wheel / ball joint complety slipped off the car. Causing the car so skid along the road thankfully no one was injured as my 2 kids were in the car and thank god I was not traveling on the duel carriageway going 70mph or me and my family could have been seriously injured or worse. After contacting the garage to say what happend I never got one appoligy just that that we drove the car back up to you it couldn't have been caused by us. So I contacted my finance company who were amazing and they sent out a independent Vehicle inspector who looked round everything and stated THAT THE BALL JOINT SLIPPED OUT DUE TO THE LAST PERSON WHO TRYIED TO REPAIR THE CAR AND DIDNT SECURE IT PROPERLY. The car has now been rejected and going back to them it took them over 2 weeks on deadline day to accept responsibility and take the car back... disgracefull from start to finish with valkswagon arnold clark.”

I’m normally a Kwik fit user in Glasgow, so not biased against the chain, but the booking system and attitudes could improve.”

“I have been in the Motor Trade for over ¼ century, and the last time I was in a Kwik Fit was then. It was a place where you went in and they sold you what they could. When I burst a tyre on the way home from work today, I used Google maps to find tyre places near where I was, and it found me a Kwik Fit I could nurse my car to. Reluctantly, I called and cleverly the GPS on your phone puts you thru to the nearest one. Waiting for the Kwik Fit slogan, I was surprised to hear a friendly voice, "Kwik Fit Inverkeithing . How can I help. It's very polite , I thought. I explained my predicament and was told they had a tyre that would fit and put me in the diary for 2pm, which was 50 mins time. Ten minutes later, I arrived, and they told me they would do their best to squeeze it in sooner. And by just after 2pm, I was gone. Absolutely brilliant, they fitted the tyre, checked the steering geometry of my car, and all was well. No upsell (apart from the tyre insurance), which they do have to advise you off. So your local Kwik Fit has definitely changed up a good few gears and now focuses on customer satisfaction. Well done.”

“Picked up my nearly new Multistrada on 17th may , really only was out on the bike a couple of times when the dashboard started to mimic Christmas lights, without much fuss Ducati picked up the bike and within a short time returned it without the Christmas lights 👍. After a short time I noticed a bolt missing and then decided il sort it later, forgetting about it completely. Today having a visit to the area I decided time to drool over the showroom bikes 😁. Considering at the beginning of next season trading up. Half way around the showroom I remembered the missing bolt , perfecto I thought , let’s ask Store guys was more than helpful and quickly produced the said bolt and washer .I was a bit surprised when he asked for the money £5+ for it , when I explained it was from a bike I had got in may he said he would speak to the manager. I decided it wasn’t worth arguing over the cost. Before leaving I went to explain (as above) however before I could I listened to a monologue of what most people do when they’re cleaning their bikes,,,,,,,,,,you get the jist Anyway who would bother entering into a conversation like this with a past, present and potential future client ??????? Poor decision making a customer feel like they have to argue over a bolt that should have been checked or not. Nevertheless its a poor understanding of your customers. Definitely now that they have created this service situation I will not buy any more Ducatis from them”

“Bought a car from this dealership in 2021..read on for update. I enquired about the service history of the vehicle and was told it was all online, so I asked for a copy of the history to be told it couldn't be accessed at the Alistair Buchan Ltd but was to be reassured it was all there. A service was done on the car before I collected it and was provided with the printout of the Digital Service Report. I went to see Mercedes to be told Mercedes had no history for the vehicle. I then called numerous numbers and e-mailed places in search of the history - but to no luck. Mercedes only have a copy of the report from Alistair Buchan of the service carried out pre-purchase and no other service history. Update 2023: It has later turned out after an extensive vehicle history check, there was no servicing done on the car previously. Disappointing to be lied to. I feel the communication from the dealership after the sale went through was relatively poor. 7 days after I bought, the two digital dash screens died completely. Luckily the car was still under warranty and Mercedes diagnosed the screens as 'faulty' and replaced them under warranty. Pretty disappointed at that, especially only having the car for one week. On reflection now a couple of years on, I was clearly told false information about the service history, and I should have been wiser to the fact but I trusted the dealership naively. The car has been ok. There seems to be a semi-permanent issue with brake pads warping and wheel alignment, which may be a sign of hidden accident damage but Mercedes haven't spotted this themselves at any services or MOT's. I'd be wary, and double check every bit of information from this dealer and ask for all paperwork otherwise don't be afraid to walk away. I would have walked away had I realised at the time.”
