“I have found my new neighborhood Pho place! So excited! Ordered the shrimp pho with dumplings....delicious! Broth was so flavorful. The cafe is on the smaller size & cozy. The service was quick, efficient & friendly.”

Rouses Market
4.5
( 8 reviews )

1410 St Charles St, Houma, LA 70360, United States

“Love this Rouses! My first time trying their sushi, and it’s pretty decent for a grocery store. The rolls have a lot of rice and are kinda loose so it falls apart but still relatively good. Just be careful, most of them are mainly only cucumber, imitation crab meat, and avocado so don’t expect to get a lot of fish. They were generous with the crunchy flakes though if you like that. The sushi chefs were also nice and offered samples. They were engaging and helped me decide which ones to buy. I also like how they offer $6 sushi rolls on Tuesdays (only on certain rolls). I will definitely be back to see what they have to offer! Side note: this is my go-to bakery, floral, and wine Rouses location. It may not be the closest to me, but I feel like their selections are fresher and more up-to-date compared to other Rouses in the surrounding area. Highly recommend this location! It may be busy at times, but that’s a good sign! More customers mean it’s a good place to shop, right?!”

Cleopatra Mediterranean Cuisine

2701 Manhattan Blvd #24, Harvey, LA 70058, United States

“I was very impressed with this restaurant! The server went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. Super sweet guy. Now the food... 🙌 DELICIOUS. I loved their baba ganoush, loved the bread, loved the lamb skewers... everything was just amazing. Definitely recommend. Update: I ordered take-out, I couldn't forget this place 🤤 I ordered the lamb chops, which came with a side of tasty hummus, salad, and rice. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked. They were tender and seasoned well. So good. Of course I had to get my favorite, baba ganoush & baklava! Everything was fantastic 🤤 This is officially one of my favorite restaurants ❤️”

11135 Coursey Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, United States

“*I want to personally thank the employees named Chris and Brianna! They were such absolute sweethearts and they made our food 3 minutes before closing at 8, we didn’t know they closed that early! Me and my mom sincerely thank you guys!!* The spicy chicken wrap and sweet potato fries were hitting ya heard me! This was my first time coming here and it’s worth the wait! The chicken wrap was so good and those fries, good Lord! The funnel cake fries were really good too, basically churros in fry form!”

The Daily Beet
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

1000 Girod St, New Orleans, LA 70113, United States

“Absolutely phenomenally food! The rainbow bowl was so delicious and all I did the entire time was try to imagine how I can recreate it at home. I know it won’t be as good! This is a fantastic spot for anyone who’s health-conscious, but is a total unicorn for vegans and WFPB eaters. Do not miss The Daily Beet on your next trip to NOLA.”

Tan Dinh

( 8 reviews )

1705 Lafayette St, Gretna, LA 70053, United States

“Don't skip the salt and pepper shrimp (served with garlic butter on the side as suggested by the server), or the super crispy chicken wings (with your choice of sauce, we chose lemongrass). The grilled pork rolls were a win, but I'd leave the tofu bun next time and probably go for pho instead. Prices weren't cheap but were absolutely fair for the fresh, abundant portions. Would absolutely return!”

Shawarma On The Go
4.7
( 8 reviews )

3720 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70115, United States

“I’m sorry to do this and I love the food here, but the past couple months the actual restaurant has been *disgusting*. Not only is there visibly dirt, grime, food, and stains all over the floor and every surface, but it smells AWFUL. They seriously need to hire a professional crew to deep clean the place and then they need to maintain it. I am not asking for much, I understand that it is in a gas station, but it does not even meet the minimum standard of cleanliness that you would find at any fast food restaurant.”

Burgersmith Siegen Lane

6212 Siegen Ln, Baton Rouge, LA 70809, United States

“I don’t eat burgers too much but this past weekend, it was the move. I ordered the Smith Burger and cheese fries. I added tobacco peppers on the burger to make it spicy, because I love spicy food! It was really good, definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. The flavor was all there. Now the cheese fries were a tad bit overrated for me. Some seasoning may have done them some justice. They weren’t anything special and it was a bit cold when we got them since we had to wait for someone to come to the bar. Now when a customer says they have a pickup and the greeter says go to the bar but there’s no one at the bar, it would make sense to maybe try and see if they can find an employee to get the pickup? Other than that, it was a decent choice for dinner”

Kosher Cajun Ny Deli & Grocery
4.7
( 8 reviews )

3519 Severn Ave, Metairie, LA 70002, United States

“This spot is the only kosher option in New Orleans, and usually that’s grounds for sucking, but this place is awesome! Firstly, they have Kosher groceries. Everything you need to make a Shabbos as a traveler, from Challah, to candles, wine and take out food. They have importered chocolates, rugelach etc. Their take-out food is super tasty! We ordered the white fish with bagels, good stuff. We also got the jimbalaya, the po boy sandwich, and the classic pastrami sandwich. It was nice to have a little taste of Nola but it was also great to have classic deli as well. Also the staff is so nice and friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!”

Song Phi Nong Thai Restaurant And Bar

719 Corporate Dr, Houma, LA 70360, United States

“Omg where do I start? I'd never been here before but I love it and will definitely be going back. The food was great. Customer service was great. Atmosphere was on point. The owner came out and hung out with us which was absolutely awesome. They have so many gluten free and vegan options which totally won me over. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a must that you go there and find out for yourself. There was so much food served my first two pics are of my to go plates and that's after we had eaten a lot . This is the amount we took home so it was well worth it.”

Incredible sandwiches and salads (several delicious vegetarian options) which all have fun pop culture related names, plentiful beverage options, and a fun decor theme that is just the right amount of visually interesting and amusing.”

Koz's Harahan
4.6
( 8 reviews )

6215 Wilson St, New Orleans, LA 70123, United States

“I visited Koz’s twice so far. My first time where I ordered a po’boy, a second time where I ordered fried chicken. Two very different qualities of food. My first visit I ordered the shrimp po’boy with an order of fries and blueberry cobbler. The french bread was fresh and soft. Not crunchiness like plenty of other spots. The shrimp were freshly paired and seasoned to perfection. Hand down on the top 5 best shrimp po’boys I’ve ever had. The fries were also freshly fried. The blueberry cobbler was delightful. The second visit was a to-go order of fries chicken, mac’n’cheese, and potatoes with gravy. The chicken was horrible. It seems to have been fried in cornmeal and flour and no seasoning. But the most horrible part was the chicken was burnt and fried in old grease. That’s wrong on every level. The potatoes were clearly from a box and not from fresh potatoes. There was no attempt to mask that. The mac’n’cheese wasn’t that. It was spaghetti with cheese served at a 1/2 cup, maybe less. It was less than room temperature and lacked flavors. The lack of consistent product quality is a big issues for me as a food lover. Koz’s is a spot worth checking out for the sandwiches once for sure. I can’t recommend them, but I am willing to try something else off of the menu from them (I will dine-in to voice any quality issues) one more time. If it is horrible again, this spot will be a no-go for good.”

Rib Room

621 St Louis St, New Orleans, LA 70130, United States

“My husband and I were in New Orleans for our anniversary and made reservations at The Rib Room the first night and since we were staying at the Omni Hotel, it only made sense. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and has a very historical look which I happen to love, not to mention the food was fantastic! The entire staff was extremely professional, helpful, and on point during our entire visit. The manager actually stopped by our table to ensure that everything was going well. My husband and I had a really good conversation with him, and he made us feel right at home and appreciated. The Rib Room was a very enjoyable and delicious experience for us, and we will definitely be back!!”

Adams Street Grocery & Deli (uptown)
4.7
( 10 reviews )

1309 Adams St, New Orleans, LA 70118, United States

“The shrimp po'boy was delicious. The bread was perfect, and the fried shrimp had a light and crisp coating. The sandwich was stuffed full and the lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise a welcome addition. The only downside (not really) was the shrimp wouldn't stay in the sandwich. It turned into finger food to eat with the sandwich. I think I appreciated the shrimp all the more for it.”

Mandeville Bake Shop

2203 Florida St, Mandeville, LA 70448, United States

“There is absolutely nothing fancy or super innovative about this place, but it is a real staple in our community. The baked goods are nice quality and the service is fantastic. The prices are also very reasonable. I love their shoe soles and their donuts are pretty great too. They're filled. King cakes are especially delicious.”

“The Queen rocks the house! One of party said they just had the best fish sandwich they ever tasted. The combo platter I shared with Jerk and curry chicken was 5 stars of flavor! The sides were amazing- got the cabbage and spinach. Probably without a doubt the best Caribbean food we ever had for sure!”
