Doris Metropolitan New Orleans

( 16 reviews )

620 Chartres St, New Orleans, LA 70130, United States

“Lots to unpack! The service was absolutely the best I have ever received. The manager (I can’t remember his name) greeted us and made sure to check on us the entire evening. Our server Cesar was exceptional! He was very attentive and explained everything we had questions about. On to the food, we ordered the caviar ($250) and a few other appetizers(octopus, prawns, and bread) and each item was absolutely delicious. The prawns were seasoned to perfection and the caviar was like butter! (Well, it should be for the price 😂) I ordered the ‘Falls of the rack’.. I think that was the name of the spare ribs! And boy did they fall off the bones!! I also had a taste of the lamb chops, the fish (I honestly can’t remember which fish). I absolutely will be dining here again when I am in New Orleans again. I’d give it 10 stars but five is the max. Oh, the ambiance is great for a special occasion.”

“I have found my new neighborhood Pho place! So excited! Ordered the shrimp pho with dumplings....delicious! Broth was so flavorful. The cafe is on the smaller size & cozy. The service was quick, efficient & friendly.”

Rouses Market

1410 St Charles St, Houma, LA 70360, United States

“Love this Rouses! My first time trying their sushi, and it’s pretty decent for a grocery store. The rolls have a lot of rice and are kinda loose so it falls apart but still relatively good. Just be careful, most of them are mainly only cucumber, imitation crab meat, and avocado so don’t expect to get a lot of fish. They were generous with the crunchy flakes though if you like that. The sushi chefs were also nice and offered samples. They were engaging and helped me decide which ones to buy. I also like how they offer $6 sushi rolls on Tuesdays (only on certain rolls). I will definitely be back to see what they have to offer! Side note: this is my go-to bakery, floral, and wine Rouses location. It may not be the closest to me, but I feel like their selections are fresher and more up-to-date compared to other Rouses in the surrounding area. Highly recommend this location! It may be busy at times, but that’s a good sign! More customers mean it’s a good place to shop, right?!”

Cleopatra Mediterranean Cuisine

2701 Manhattan Blvd #24, Harvey, LA 70058, United States

“I was very impressed with this restaurant! The server went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. Super sweet guy. Now the food... 🙌 DELICIOUS. I loved their baba ganoush, loved the bread, loved the lamb skewers... everything was just amazing. Definitely recommend. Update: I ordered take-out, I couldn't forget this place 🤤 I ordered the lamb chops, which came with a side of tasty hummus, salad, and rice. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked. They were tender and seasoned well. So good. Of course I had to get my favorite, baba ganoush & baklava! Everything was fantastic 🤤 This is officially one of my favorite restaurants ❤️”

The Cajun Table

4510 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy Suite C & D, Lafayette, LA 70508, United States

“Went here a couple of times over the last few weeks. The first time, I went with my daughter's and their families and the second time by myself. The service both times was subpar. The fried catfish and shrimp on the first visit was pretty good, but the boiled crawfish on my next time was just not worth the time and money. Super salty and eye watering expensive. I've been to 3 places so far this crawfish season, and this place is by far the most expensive and least tasty. Go somewhere else for boiled crawfish. Follow up for owners response. I did tell my server of the condition of the crawfish but it was not until I received my check because she just didn't come around to ask. I also understand that crawfish is expensive right now but yours was over $5/lb more than the other 2 places I visited. Its is really good to hear that you can take the feedback about the service and turn that into a positive thing by training your staff.”

The Daily Beet
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

1000 Girod St, New Orleans, LA 70113, United States

“Absolutely phenomenally food! The rainbow bowl was so delicious and all I did the entire time was try to imagine how I can recreate it at home. I know it won’t be as good! This is a fantastic spot for anyone who’s health-conscious, but is a total unicorn for vegans and WFPB eaters. Do not miss The Daily Beet on your next trip to NOLA.”

Red Stick Farmers Market
4.7
( 8 reviews )

501 N 5th St, Baton Rouge, LA 70802, United States

“This place is so much fun. You can find almost anything you could ask for as far as fresh country farm items and wonderful homemade cheeses, breads, oils, mushrooms, plants, flowers, vegetables, eggs, coffees and many many more things. Great for family’s.”

Clancy's Restaurant
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

6100 Annunciation St, New Orleans, LA 70118, United States

“Love Clancy’s… a New Orleans classic. When you start with warm French bread, wine and fried oysters & Brie; you know you’re in for a wonderful dining experience. I had the Sautéed veal with Mushroom Marsala Demi, which did not disappoint. Veal was very tender… cooked to perfection. Add in a lovely atmosphere, great service, full bar and great entrees and you’re all set. Thank you Martin for taking good care of us. Great experience.”

Rocca Pizzeria

“Amazing pizza for being Neapolitan . Wonderful flavor profiles. The location had a lively vibe with a tremendous staff that made me glad I chose to be there. I ordered a beer and I had asked the host to recommend a beer and I was happy I went with his choice. All around excellent experience. I would recommend bringing friends and family.”

1705 Lafayette St, Gretna, LA 70053, United States

“Don't skip the salt and pepper shrimp (served with garlic butter on the side as suggested by the server), or the super crispy chicken wings (with your choice of sauce, we chose lemongrass). The grilled pork rolls were a win, but I'd leave the tofu bun next time and probably go for pho instead. Prices weren't cheap but were absolutely fair for the fresh, abundant portions. Would absolutely return!”

Shawarma On The Go
4.7
( 8 reviews )

3720 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70115, United States

“I’m sorry to do this and I love the food here, but the past couple months the actual restaurant has been *disgusting*. Not only is there visibly dirt, grime, food, and stains all over the floor and every surface, but it smells AWFUL. They seriously need to hire a professional crew to deep clean the place and then they need to maintain it. I am not asking for much, I understand that it is in a gas station, but it does not even meet the minimum standard of cleanliness that you would find at any fast food restaurant.”

Daiwa Marrero
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$

5033 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA 70072, United States

“The Daiwa special roll was great. The shrimp gyoza was good too but I do wish it was seared on both sides. The miso soup is good. Avoid their clear soup at all costs- it was terrible, tasted like old fish water. Bleh. Still giving it a 5 star because I really enjoyed the sushi and the service was good.”

Albasha Greek & Lebanese
4.6
( 16 reviews ) $$

17316 Airline Hwy A, Prairieville, LA 70769, United States

“I love this place. The food is always fresh and delicious and the service is great. I had the lunch rack of lamb and Mediterranean hummòs. The lamb was juicy, tender, and delicious! The lunch menu is priced well and the portions are plenty enough that you won't leave hungry.”

Kosher Cajun Ny Deli & Grocery
4.7
( 8 reviews )

3519 Severn Ave, Metairie, LA 70002, United States

“This spot is the only kosher option in New Orleans, and usually that’s grounds for sucking, but this place is awesome! Firstly, they have Kosher groceries. Everything you need to make a Shabbos as a traveler, from Challah, to candles, wine and take out food. They have importered chocolates, rugelach etc. Their take-out food is super tasty! We ordered the white fish with bagels, good stuff. We also got the jimbalaya, the po boy sandwich, and the classic pastrami sandwich. It was nice to have a little taste of Nola but it was also great to have classic deli as well. Also the staff is so nice and friendly and helpful. We’ll be back!”

“Based on the reviews I was expecting a bit more from this place, was really looking forward to my first Louisiana meal to be as delicious as I've heard people rave about all my life. None of the food here was fresh and I'm almost certain not locally caught. Our server was friendly and attentive.”

Zorba's Greek Bistro

“Well we have been recommended this place many times… but we finally made it! Absolutely delish - fresh food, nice drinks and great service. The lamb was supple and hit all my cravings. Our waiter, James, was kind and helpful. Overall a great dining experience!”

Song Phi Nong Thai Restaurant And Bar

719 Corporate Dr, Houma, LA 70360, United States

“Omg where do I start? I'd never been here before but I love it and will definitely be going back. The food was great. Customer service was great. Atmosphere was on point. The owner came out and hung out with us which was absolutely awesome. They have so many gluten free and vegan options which totally won me over. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a must that you go there and find out for yourself. There was so much food served my first two pics are of my to go plates and that's after we had eaten a lot . This is the amount we took home so it was well worth it.”

Stool Achin

“Overall, the experience was great. My only bad comment is that the beef plates, the beef was really tough...but overall, the family gave 4 stars for the food. The flavor was great. The service was sweet and the restaurant had an African feel about it. It was in the French quarter. Nice Christmas eve dinner.”

“We decided to wander the Bywater area and came across Alma. When we peeked inside it looked warm, inviting and packed with happy people. We got lucky and the day was perfect for outdoor dining. Service was friendly and helpful and all the food was fresh hot and delicious. Honduran food is yummy and to me has a definitely Mexican association which is a great thing. I think you will love brunch here.”
