They had gluten free burgers available but didn't have any gluten free buns, but it was still very tasty and I would go back for it again. Its got a great atmosphere and no idiots coming on to you which is a bonus!”

“Would really recommend for locals and tourists! We had a super great time here, the food was excellent - especially the sweet potato fries, they where amazing! My mom had the sausage and mash and she said it was some of the best mash she ever had, soft and creamy. We had some great ales with our dinner although they had a great selection of wines, beers and whiskeys. We did make a reservation to sit in a booth which was great and comfortable and near the window. The bathrooms where clean and really nice. Would definitely recommend.”

“The service at this place was among the worst I have ever experienced. From the quality of the food to the attitude of the staff, it was an absolute disaster. My family and I chose this venue for our Christmas day celebration, considering that the food needed to be pre-ordered months in advance for them to ensure they had enough for the everyone's orders. However, upon arrival, we were informed that they had lost our reservation. We were escorted to our table, only to be told that they had run out of sea bass due to multiple lost reservations and subsequent changes in orders. Despite one person at our table pre-ordering sea bass as their main dish, it was no longer available. We waited about 30 minutes before someone took our drink orders and another 10-15 minutes before the drinks were served. An hour later, our starters arrived, but they were freezing cold and instead of the advertised bread rolls, we received brown bread. It took another hour for our main courses to be served, which were disappointingly cold, dry, and clearly not freshly prepared. The person who originally wanted sea bass ended up ordering steak, but the steak was incredibly tough and nearly inedible. We complained about the quality of the food and were refunded only £50 out of the £250 we had already paid. Despite this, we decided to stay for dessert since we had already paid. However, after waiting an additional hour, only four out of the five desserts arrived, and all three chocolate brownies were missing the sauce. At that point, we decided we had endured enough and left. The complete incompetence and lack of organization at this establishment were astonishing. I strongly advise against wasting your money and time, at this shockingly disappointing place.”

It's quite a loud pub, football was on with people watching on several tvs, a good buzz about the place and music on too. Maybe not the best choice for us having a quiet catch up but great food and i cannot fault the service.”

“I'm giving this place 1-star to really emphasise the issue we experienced that caused us to leave fifteen minutes after arriving. It was my friend's birthday and he organised a night to have with our group by booking a table for 6 (costing him £30) a couple days in advance. The table was booked for 7pm and we arrived at 7pm sharp (later than we aimed for, but we assumed it wouldn't cause any problems). The place was crowded but that was partially to be expected due to it being a Friday night. Unfortunately, the abundance of people was the root of the problem that came next. After waiting some time to be seated at a table - which for some reason wasn't already prepared upon our entry - we were almost instantly greeted with an obnoxiously loud group seated next to our table. Typical drunk behaviuor. My friend requested we be moved to another table, but this wasn't possible according to the bar staff. Our next request was for the noisy group to be asked to pipe down a tad, but they denied possibility of that too. In the end, the experience just wasn't worth holding out for the rest of our friend group to arrive. And it certainly, by any means, was not worth paying £30. On our way out, one of the staff apologised for our unsatisfaction. Apology accepted I guess, though we already made our decision regarding coming back in the future. Thank goodness Katie's and AXM were nearby to save my friend's birthday night-out. Driftwood, you have good drinks. I'll give you that. But it's not enough to promise a good night in the future. You need to do better.”
