Little Beaver State Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )

1402 Grandview Rd, Beaver, WV 25813, United States

“This is a very beautiful, well kept park. We took lots of pictures, mostly professional photos and found numerous beautiful naturally landscape areas. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their visit with places to swim, picnic, camping and walking. The restroom was out of order but they offered a Port a potty.”

Douglas Falls
4.8
( 16 reviews )

Blackwater Canyon Trail, Thomas, WV 26292, United States

“There is a large parking lot right across the old railroad bridge. Trail here is pretty muddy and wet, so be careful going down to the falls. Douglas Falls is spectacular, it's fast moving and feels alot bigger than what the pictures show.”

Cathedral State Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Aurora, WV 26705, United States

“Magnificent old growth forest. The park is a very small sliver of old growth forest. The facilities are old, and the park looks more like some poorly maintained city park than a National Natural Landmark and a WV State Park. This is all misleading to the magnificence that lies inside of the park. This is truly a sacred space and your breath will be taken away as soon as you take a few steps inside the forest. You will be met by some enormous trees. The hemlocks are beautiful, but also the hickories and oaks. It is one of my favorite spots that I have visited.”

Cedar Creek State Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Close until 08:00 AM

2947 Cedar Creek, Glenville, WV 26351, United States

“This is a wonderful campground. It is a very winding road to get there but we'll worth it. We'll maintained. Spots are spaced far apart. Wild deer come walking into campground all the time”

Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory
4.9
( 8 reviews )

Union, WV 24983, United States

“Fun beginner hike! Especially beautiful in autumn. We took a Friday off work and got there around 9am. There and back took roughly 2hrs, including time to enjoy the views and check out the observatory. 3 other hikers joined us at the top, but there is plenty of room to move about and have your own space. Remembering to bring binoculars is an added bonus! 10/10 would recommend.”
