“Came for an office dinner and had a great experience. As the only vegan in my group I expected a few small options but I was provided the whole experience of 7 courses that everyone else got. Everything was delicious too. Hope they add some of the items to the regular menu so more vegans can have a great dining experience here because clearly they can make good vegan food”

“Atmosphere & Expectations: I visited Table with much anticipation, intrigued by its communal dining concept and cozy atmosphere. The setting was inviting, fostering a shared dining experience which I found quite appealing. Cuisine & Repetition: As an Italian restaurant, I expected Italian fare, but I was surprised by the limited variety within this theme. The prefixed menu heavily featured dishes centered around cheese and red sauce. Despite each being well-prepared, the repetitive nature of these components in most dishes led to a somewhat monotonous dining experience. A few meat dishes provided some diversity, but they were few and somewhat rich for my liking. Value for Money: Reflecting on the meal and ambiance, the price felt a bit high. The atmosphere and unique dining style were definitely positives, but the lack of variety in the menu and the overall experience didn't fully justify the cost. Overall Impression: Table offers a unique communal dining experience in a pleasant setting, but the repetitive cheese and red sauce-centric menu might not meet expectations for those seeking a varied Italian culinary journey.”

“I’ve been wanting to try this place for a long time and I finally did. The food was amazing!! We had the meat lovers pizza, the chicken parm w penne, black pepper fettuccine and the bruschetta. This is like having North End quality right in our own backyard (we were home in 5 minutes). The food tasted so fresh, the chicken parm was huge & tasted wonderful, everything was excellent!! I can’t wait to return 🙂”

“If you are looking for a romantic date night or fun girls get together for something special, Dryft is an amazing spot! Located under new luxury apartments across from Revere Beach, it is bringing a new modern vibe to this historic location. The menu ranges from fresh local oysters to hand-made pasta dishes, which are exceptional. I absolutely love their pesto gnocchi with chunks of butternut squash and the fried calamari, which is lightly battered and seasoned to perfection! If you are not a seafood lover.. no worries! They offer a variety of dishes with chicken and beef. I love their Sunday brunch. The swordfish tacos are my go-to! You get 2 thick tacos and a side salad. Their espresso martinis are outstanding, and I am always a fan of a seasonal sangria! They also added an outside bar open during the summer, which has plenty of seating if the inside is too busy. I love this spot and suggest giving it a try if you haven't already!”

“Delicious pasta and entrees. We loved all of the food we had. The ravioli had so much flavor and the white wine sauce was delicious. Chicken parm was simply done right with deep flavor and comforting tastes. My mojito was great too. Vibes are definitely better on the outdoor patio than the indoor area which is nothing spectacular. Service was absolutely lovely. We’ll be back!”

Casarecce Ristorante

“I can’t believe I don’t have a review up for this place. This is my favorite place to eat on Hanover. The food is amazing and the staff is so so nice!! I have never had a bad meal here and I’ve been here loads of times. Everything is delicious. They start you off with homemade bread and it only gets better from there. I recommend the butternut squash ravioli or the lamb ragu if this is your first visit. Both are EXCELLENT. The meatballs or calamari appetizers are two of my favorites. Ask for any specials too. Sometimes they have seasonal dishes that will rock your socks off. Can’t finish up the review without mentioning how wonderful the staff is one last time. A few last things, if you’re going on a game day or the weekend, it’s best to call ahead for a table. The place is small and cozy and gets busy quickly. Don’t pass up coming here for lunch when it’s way less busy. It’s amazing any time of day. 5+++++++ stars.”

Sportello

348 Congress St, Boston, MA 02210, United States

“Great modern Italian dishes served in a uniquely cozy ambiance. Our recent Friday evening visit commenced with a warm reception into the distinctively designed space. The prominence of bar over table seating struck as somewhat unorthodox, but it accentuated the establishment’s open and laid-back ethos, creating an environment we found both refreshing and intimate. Kickstarting our meal was the Spicy Tomato Soup, a melody of rich umami flavors that felt like a warm embrace on the palate. The accompanying Taleggio & Caraway Crostini, fresh from the oven, served as the perfect dipper. The Grilled Hen of the Woods mushroom entrée came as an unexpected delight. It danced between the notes of sweet and sour, reminiscent of the hearty Bulgogi – a beloved Korean delicacy. In the pasta department, Sportello did not disappoint. While both the Strozzapreti and Campanelle were sumptuous, the former edged out as the star, thanks to its aromatic rosemary-infused braised rabbit. The campanelle, on the other hand, showcased an interesting juxtaposition of braised tripe and the fiery Calabrian chili. Another highlight was the Veal Braciole. With its Porchetta-inspired presentation and the harmonious blend of crispy and succulent textures, it was a piece worth the indulgence. Sportello may not vie for top laurels when it comes to ambiance amidst the bevy of modern restaurants in the Seaport area. However, in terms of food quality and service, it's a beacon. The restaurant proudly stands as a testament to Barbara Lynch's commitment to culinary excellence.”

“We have been to this restaurant a few times. It is a special occasion restaurant for us since prices are a bit high (entrees $25 to 40). The owner is almost always there. He regularly goes out to greet people browsing the menu outside and convinces them to come in. Once you are at your table, he will ask you what you feel like having and make suggestions. Beware his suggestions often appear on the bill as a "custom" dish and so price may reflect that. He embraces an old world charm of acclimating the customers, making his rounds to check in on you, suggest wine and dessert. We have found the food consistently great. The experience has been great as well. The service has always been attentive. Make sure to go early. We go between 3pm to 4pm. Most recently we went on a Thursday at 4. By the time we were done at about 6:30 it was bustling with activity. The bar was full, tables mostly filled. The wine list is more than enough to get you started (our bottle was $150). The dessert menu is pretty great with the essentials. I had the cream puffs and loved them. The pasta, seafood, meat, sauce are always delicious. We ordered the grilled octopus for an appetizer. It was so delicious and tender. Would definitely order again. There is a single bathroom near the bar and it is meh. Not terrible but definitely not awesome. Consider both the busyness of the restaurant (aka having to wait) and your comfort with cleanliness. It is hard to believe this is a gem on Hanover because it is so early on the block you may feel like there is a lot more to consider --and there is!-- But, it is worth a try and then you can walk off some of the dinner by walking around the neighborhood to see the other restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, bars, souvenir shops. It is an amazing neighborhood. (Word to the wise- many places only take cash, yes I know...) This restaurant does accept credit cards so no worries there. Our bill was over $400, which I don't expect is all that unusual. Pictures attached.”

“Café Quattro is a small restaurant near Boston Medical Center. The restaurant tends to serve the local area, is relatively underrated/unknown for the rest of the South End. They are missing out! I recommend the pizzas (cheese, pepperoni) and sandwiches, in particular the Italian sandwich. Definitely worth a visit.”

“Great spot in the north end off the main road for Italian and good vibes. Make sure to make a reservation as with any good spot in the north end gets busy on any given night. Prices are on par with others in the area. Make it a night and get a bottle for the table and a large salad to share.”

“Nice bar. Typical after office atmosphere around 6pm, as you watch in the tv shows (like Suits!). Good vibes, plenty of people talking and laughing. It has a little garden outside, enjoyable on summer days. Good drinks, wide beer offering, several cocktails, etc. We ate tacos, very good, maybe too spicy, but good.”

“I had the baked gnocchi (you can choose from two sizes- large and regular) and the portion was plentiful, the dish was delicious, and the sauce was generous. I loved how chewy each piece was! The red sauce was brimming with flavor and paired so nicely with everything. I loved the addition of smoked mozzarella, too. It was my first time trying the risotto, which I really ended up enjoying. We both loved the diced asparagus bits, which added crunch to an otherwise soft and savory dish. I was blown away by how flavorful each bite was! Definitely the surprise of the evening. :- )”
